Revision Military Showcases Capabilities

Revision Military is so much more than eyepro. Over the past several years they’ve purchased a company or three and expanded their capabilities to provide a holistic soldier protection solution. Although they have been involved in USSOCOM’s TALOS program, it was more a conduit to showcase what they’ve done than a driver of innovation. They were already well on their own path when former Commander, USSOCOM, ADM McRaven called on industry to develop an “ironman” suit.

Revision has been way out in front of everyone else bringing this all in house. Hopefully, their hard work will be rewarded.

It’ll be interesting to see where this type of technology/concept goes when Nanotechnology becomes more prolific.

I totally identify with this. There’s a hill in my back yard. I like to get it all camo’d up and go stand on it. I don’t have any NVGs so I wear shaded out swim goggles.

That is great camo! great video.

I don’t always walk around and pose dramatically for the camera in full kit; but when I do, it’s always broad day, and I’m wearing NODs.

    • Francis says:

If it’s not broad day, no one can admire you – night would defeat the purpose! Yeah the NODs would wash out – wouldn’t they? maybe the new ones don’t – but we don’t need to see them. We know they’re looking.

While I applaud the effort, I find it ridiculous and hilarious that the model is wearing NVGs in daylight.

Wearing any branded Revision Eyepro would have been much better, and less laughable.

    • SSD says:

I used some NVGs last week that can be worn during the day.

it seems the NVGs as very specialized kit will someday just be a part of a full optical system for use in night or day. HUDs tied into weapon systems, zoom and enhance functions, whatever. It is all possible right now with off the shelf tech, just really heavy and power hungry. My take is that they were trying to show us the Future®, and not a blatant misuse of gear. Tie DayVisionGoggles into a new fangled scope that helps you aim or even into a weapon system further away…and you have basic grunt capabilities from video games over the last 2 decades come to life.

Kind of reminds me of the Halo Spartan MLJONIR armor kind of stuff or the Halo Marines.

So, what camo is he wearing?

    (Sorry, couldn’t resist).
