This kicks off our coverage of the 2019 Warrior Expo West, presented by ADS, at the San Diego Convention Center.

Pre-registration is closed for this week’s Warrior West Expo, Tuesday & Wednesday at the San Diego Convention Center. Instead, register on-site. Participation is restricted to those with valid government ID.

Also, make sure you’re there on Wednesday, May 15 @ 1130 – 1230 in Classroom 5B for “LEADERSHIP: Becoming the Sheep Dog” featuring Celebrity Guest Speaker Tim Kennedy.

Tim is a Army Green Beret and UFC ranked middleweight fighter. He will speak about how to overcome fear, how to get up and learn from losses, how to recognize strengths and weaknesses, and how to become the sheepdog.

Tim is well known for his support of those serving in uniform and will also hold a meet and greet, Wednesday, May 15 @ 1000 – 1100, in the Warrior Lounge.

The Warrior West Expo by ADS is just two short weeks away, at San Diego’s Convention Center.

One company you need to check out is Outdoor Research and their Three Glove Cold Weather Glove System. Like the name says, it consists of three pieces of handwear and was adopted a few years ago as the Army Glove System as an interim solution until the Army’s upcoming Modular Glove System is selected and fielded next year.

The mitts are manufactured using fully seam taped Gore-Tex fabric, while the glove uses a Gore-Tex liner, making them all both Waterproof and Windproof.

We’re less than a month out from ADS Warrior Expo West. We’ve already discussed the training available at this event, May 14 & 15 at the San Diego Convention Center. There’s also Going to be some cool gear to check out, like the LRAD 360XL-MID Mobile Kit. What makes it different from other Long Range Acoustic Devices in the past is that it is omni-directional, covering over 2 square kilometers making it ideal for issuing public safety notifications and emergency warnings in areas without fixed public address systems.
