US Elite is now taking order for two styles featuring the new Oakley Prizm Lens Technology. I had a chance to start using the new lenses during range day at SHOT Show and I really like them. According to Oakley, the Prizm lens technology uses a formulated dye that boosts visual recognition of targets while blocking a variety of neighboring backgrounds such as dirt, trees and sky. The whole idea is to block certain colors of light in order to increase contrast. I know, it sounds great, but does it work? In my experience, yes. So far, they come in two gradients (TR22 and TR45) and I could easily transition from outdoors to indoors while wearing the lighter of the two (TR22). I really like them.
Currently, US Elite has the Flak Jacket XLJ Prizm with TR 45 lens available.
They also offer the M Frame 3.0 Prizm with both TR 22 and 45 lenses.
Smith Elite has introduced a limited edition version of the Lockwood Eyepro in Kryptek Highlander. While they were released last week, they have already pre-sold the run to dealers. Additionally, the Terrace and Frontman are being introduced as well. For the new models they will be offered with either Grey non-polarized lenses as well Grey and Brown Polarized lenses. In addition, they plan to integrate Kryptek Typhon to supplement the Highlander. Look for a list of dealers carrying the Lockwood Highlanders soon on SSD. I’ll tell you, once I get my pair ordered.
