I know seems a little out of the ordinary, but Swiss Eye makes a pretty interesting mask with integrated eyepro. Consisting of a fleece lined neoprene mask, the mask sports polycarbonate lenses that offer UAV-A, -B and -C protection as well as meet ANSI Z87.1 2003. The lens is replaceable and the mask can be configured with a clear lens.

TNVC is now including a FREE pair of Revision Military EXOSHIELD Ballistic Goggles with the purchase of every ITT PVS-14 Night Enforcer. We’ve extolled the virtues of the EXOSHIELD and agree that it’s low profile design make it the best eye-pro for use with NVGs because the user can bring the NVG all the way back to the eye. Other goggles and shooting glasses cause the NVG to stand off from the face, diminishing the operator’s view and are prone to scratching from the NVGs. Revision Military’s Batlskin technology is making its US debut at AUSA. Batlskin is a modular, scalable head protective system. It integrates with existing ballistic helmets (ACH) With a front mount that does three things. You can integrate NVGs offering increased stability by using existing holes in the helmet. Additionally, you can use the mount to attach a visor and finally, the mount also accepts a mandible guard. The components can be attached and detached while the helmet is worn allowing you to tailor protection to the threat.
Additionally, Revision has developed a helmet retention system and liner that is optimized for use with the ACH. It can be used to upgrade your current helmet or in conjunction with the full Batlskin Head Protective Sysyem. The liner is a three piece affair which helps with proper pad placement for impactrotection. This means the middle pad can be removed to accommodate headsets.
Oakley is introducing the M-frame 3.0 which features ultra low profile temples to accommodate hearing protection and improved low profile nose piece as well as an enhanced coating for anti-fog and increased scratch resistance.
Additionally, they have a new Ballistic 2.0 goggle which offers increased lower and side peripheral vision and facilitates a reduced stand off for night vision systems. The straps are also easily removed thanks to a new fastener. The lens features the same new coatings as the M-frame 3.0 along with increased venting to help mitigate fogging.

When the big, heavy, cable-laden Nett Warrior went away it took the Helmet Mounted Display along with it. But, with technologies like this new Sunlight Readable See-Through HMD from Vuzix they may remain an option in the future. Vuzix just delivered two different sets of the technology to the Army’s Natick Soldier RD&E Center (NSRDEC). Unlike previously used HMDs these are see-through. The monocular design clips on to ballistic glasses or helmets and are compatible with any device featuring a VGA or composite video out capability. They use a Liquid Crystal light shutter as a means to control the level of translucency.
According to a press release from Vuzix:
Each of Vuzix’ waveguide and quantum beamsplitter optical systems delivered to NSRDEC demonstrate various performance characteristics. The first design affords a smaller form factor, and the second, a super high brightness system achieving a display screen outputting 2400 nits for use in direct sunlight.
Smith Optics was on hand and they were killing it. I couldn’t get far enough into the booth to grab a sneak peek of any of their black bag projects, but let me tell you, you are going to like them when they come out.
