FirstSpear Friday Focus – Squadron Smock Now Available in Multicam Arid

Now available in Multicam Arid— check out the Squadron Smock, an exceptionally popular garment from FS which has maintained its classic design matched with modern high performance materials. The dual layer MID 400 merino package is used throughout the hood, back and shoulders as well as two zippered hand pockets.

With over 18 total pockets this smock serves a load bearing vest style capability many outer garments could not support. An oversized hood works great over the top of a bump lid or helmet.

FirstSpear has also used a low profile padding through the elbow and forearm finished with extra large adjustable cuffs. Webbing attachment points on the back and hood can be used to secure a pack like the ECP or even add foliage for concealment. Stay warm, don’t wait to order these Cold Climate Gloves. This is not your average winter glove. The Cold Climate glove from FS is built with a keratin leather palm patch, Primaloft Gold insulation, and a waterproof breathable insert.

Incredibly warm with excellent dexterity allowing basic trigger control. Additionally, we removed the insulation from the upper half of the trigger finger to increase basic trigger manipulation and make it easier when using a touchscreen. FirstSpear Friday Focus: Tactical Hand Warmer

With frigid temps dropping in January, don’t let your mitts get cold. This is an iconic OG cold weather piece from FS that’s mission-specific, look no further than the FS Tactical Hand-Warmer. The Tactical Hand-Warmer is a perfect way to keep your fingers warm on a cold day. The fleece-lined interior is soft and retains heat exceedingly well.

The Tactical Hand-Warmer can be attached directly to your platform or worn on its own. When not needed, the included attachment strap stows inside. An attached storage bag allows the system to be packed up small and tight. The Tactical Hand-Warmer has additional pockets to hold “air activated hand warmers” or other essential items. Cuffs allow for changes in length.

Happy New Year from our FirstSpear family to yours! Don’t get caught out in the elements without the proper layers and gear. Filling the mid-weight niche of the FS technical apparel line, the Wind Cheater has a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) Finish and excellent wind shedding characteristics. It is also quiet and flexible. The Wind Cheater features a large hood which fits over helmets without a problem and is cut generously to aid in movement. Low profile hook and loop attachment points are provided to attach FirstSpear Cell Tags and IFF.

The Wind Cheater utilizes a Duro Ambush coating that has been brushed on which allows it to breathe like a T-Shirt. The Wind Cheater has also been designed to dry quickly. A standard cuff tab and an extra-large bicep pocket are found on each sleeve and zippers under each arm (pit zips) allow for massive airflow when desired. Finally, the Wind Cheater features bungee/barrel lock adjustments for the hood, collar, and tail.

It’s currently available in ranger green, multicam arid, coyote, multicam, manatee grey and black.
