Comp-Tac Extends Basket Weave Kydex to Warrior with Light Holster and Twin Warrior Mag Pouch

Wednesday, June 17th, 2020

HOUSTON, June 18, 2020 – Comp-Tac®, manufacturer of concealed-carry, competition holsters and accessories, recently added its basket weave (black) color option to the Warrior™ with Light Holster and the Twin Warrior™ Mag Pouch products.

The basket weave Kydex® used by Comp-Tac is unique because the basket weave pattern is imprinted into the Kydex it is not a film or a graphic. Since the patten is into the Kydex, it will not rub off or wear over time.

“The basket-weave-finished Kydex has been growing in popularity as more customers learn of its existence,” said Bill Babboni, High Speed Gear® vice president of sales and operations.  “Traditionally a basket weave patterns were only available in leather. Now both police departments and individuals can get the look of basket wave with the improved fit and durability of the Kydex material…it is the best of both worlds.”

The Warrior with Light is an outside-the-waistband holster designed for a handgun with light attached. This holster can be worn for range use, concealed carry or general carry. The Warrior with Light’s all-Kydex body includes a retention screw to allow the user to fit the holster as tightly or loosely to the gun as they choose. The Warrior with Light attaches to the belt with two High Speed Gear belt width-adjustable, polymer belt loops.

The Twin Warrior Mag Pouch is an OWB pouch designed to carry two additional magazines. With a similar “pancake” design to the Warrior Holster and Warrior with Light Holster, this pouch has a very thin design, making it perfect for concealed carry or undercover wear.

Light Bearing Level 2 Compact Holster Now Offered for SIG P320 Pistol with TLR 7/8 Light.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia – June 4, 2020 – Blackhawk, a leader in law enforcement and military products for over 20 years, announced today that it has expanded its popular line of T-Series holsters with the introduction of a light bearing Level 2 Compact (L2C) version engineered specifically for the SIG SAUER P320 pistol with TLR 7/8 light.

As with other L2C holsters, the latest model retains key features designed to assist with concealed carry. Among these features include a new speed cut to assist with a faster draw, a low-profile design for ease of concealment and RMR-compatibility.

Designed to follow Blackhawk’s Master Grip Principle, all T-Series holsters have been specifically developed to allow the user’s hand to land naturally where it should in order to deploy the sidearm. This efficient movement pairs with a sound-dampening, low-friction, dual-density internal material that translates into a smooth, quiet draw. Externally, the L2C holster features a proprietary, glass-reinforced nylon to ensure the highest degree of durability available in a duty rated holster.

All T-Series L2C holsters include an all-new attachment platform called the Quick Dual Release, or QDR. This attachment method features an intuitive dual button release that allows for easy attachment to and removal from a belt without weaving it through traditional belt loops. The QDR can easily accommodate belts ranging in size from 1.5 to 2.25 inches and allows the holster to be canted at various angles, depending on user preference.

All L2C holsters also come standard with a two-slot belt loop attachment for belt carry and the intuitive design provides the user the ability to cant the sidearm following the body’s contour.

Safariland 7TS Series Holsters for Red Dot Optics Now Available for Glock Handguns

Thursday, May 14th, 2020

Seventeen models offered all with ALS retention
ONTARIO, California – Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group, today announced its popular 7TS™ series holsters specifically designed to fit and protect handguns with red dot optics are now available to order. The new models are designated 7TS RDS, and current fits include the Glock 17, 19, 34, 45 and 47 MOS handguns.

“Red dot optics continue to gain strength in the marketplace, as evidenced by the high demand of our initial SafariLaminate™ models. And now, we have combined the virtually indestructible qualities of our 7TS holster materials with a protective hood design for red dot optics, creating the new industry standard. These are sure to gain popularity very quickly,” said James Dawson, duty gear category director for Safariland.

Safariland’s 7TS RDS holsters are constructed from durable SafariSeven™ material, a proprietary DuPont nylon blend that enables precision manufacturing while retaining exceptional durability in temperature extremes, allowing these reliably performing holsters to be practically impervious to the elements. Further, they require little maintenance to keep them functioning and looking good, and they are completely non-abrasive to firearm finishes.

The protective hood design on these models protect the red dot optic from damage and the elements. The pivoting hood automatically rotates forward to open as the user releases the ALS® retention lever via the thumb upon the draw. The handgun is then secured in the holster automatically upon reholstering. This best-in-class patented, intuitive internal locking device offers one of the most secure retention capabilities available today.

Seventeen model variations are now available for duty, tactical, and concealment carry, including the top-selling 7360RDS ALS/SLS Level III Retention Duty Holster. Models include:

– Duty: 7360RDS, 7362RDS, 7365RDS, 7390RDS, 7392RDS, 7395RDS

HOUSTON, May 11, 2020 – Comp-Tac® recently added holster fits for the STI Staccato in the International™ Holster and the Blue Duty Holster Series™.

True North Concepts Launches Modular Holster Adapter

New Modular Adapter Eliminates Unwanted Movement Common with Factory Adapters

May 4, 2020 – Today, True North Concepts, LLC announced the launch of the True North Modular Holster Adapter, a rugged adapter designed to eliminate the unwanted movement, flex and sliding that are common in most factory belt adapters.

The Modular Holster Adapter is the first adapter of its kind to specifically solve the problem of unwanted movement that nearly all polymer belt adapters create for law enforcement, military and other shooters. It does this by combining modularity with rigidity. Unlike other adapters, the True North holster adapter lets the user decide how they want to carry their pistol rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-one-belt carry system.

Its modular design gives holsters mounted to the adapter greater mounting rigidity. The adapter’s proprietary modular positioning features include:

• 20-degree-wide mount positioning range; 10-degree forward cant and 10-degree negative cant
• Three vertical mounting points set ½-inch apart giving the user three height options
• Supports “Mid-Ride” mode of carry that will drop the pistol below his or her belt line, allowing it to clear body armor and pouches.

The Modular Holster Adapter fits all Safariland “three-hole pattern” type holsters and multiple brands that use this method of attachment. It also supports common quick detach holster systems, including the QLS. It’s made from non-ferrous DFARS-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, is Type 3 MIL-SPEC hard coat anodized and is made in America.

The Modular Holster Adapter mounting system gives users two primary mounting options – the ability to thread the mounting bars through PALS webbing to attach the holster to MOLLE-type battle belts, or to bolt the adapter directly onto any standard gun belt with a width of up to 2 ¼-inches. The Adapter also includes mounting points for use with a wide array of popular quick release belt mounts, including Tek-Lok and polymer MOLLE-type hardware. It is available now in black and dark earth finishes.

The Modular Holster Adapter is available now at TrueNorth-USA.com and ready to ship. More information on holster compatibility, pricing, specs and more is also available now at TrueNorth-USA.com.

Available in a basketweave finish, the new T-Series L3D holster has been designed to better serve the needs of on-duty law enforcement officers and is compatible with the Glock 17 pistol.

The basketweave design is a staple finish in the law enforcement community as the pattern is quite common on active duty holsters and belts.
