Rampart has announced that their 10th annual Range Day and Expo is going to be held on June 1st 2021.
As in years past, it will be hosted at the Stittsville Shooting Range, west of Ottawa and you’ll get the chance for some hands on range time with the newest products.
If they’re unable to have the event due to COVID restrictions, the fall-back date is. Sept 28th 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and regulations imposed on public gatherings, Rampart Range day 2020 has been cancelled. The event was scheduled for May 26th 2020 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Rampart Range Day 2021 will be held on June 1st, 2021. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone next year.
Last week, Canadian Distributor Rampart Corp, held a Range Day in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
They’ve been holding some great ranges just before CANSEC each year. In this first year for a west coast event, they hosted 25 vendors and over 100 end users. Here are some of the highlights.

Overall, the event went very well. No word yet on west coast dates for next year, but the Ottawa range day is scheduled for May 26th, 2020.
Although this is the first Rampart Range Day West, it is a bit different than previous events as they’re putting a stronger emphasis on training and demonstrations for the attendees.

During last week’s Rampart Range Day I saw EWOOL’s product offerings.
They are based in Quebec and produce electrically heated wool clothing, like the gloves and socks you see here. Once turned on, they warm up within three seconds. They also produce a vest, which can be powered via an onboard battery, or via 12 V on a snowmachine or motorcycle.

Fire Dragon is a green and clean solid cooking fuel from BCB International. It will ignite even when wet and produces little smoke. A magnesium stick easily set it alight.

The Hyperspike Acoustic Hailing Device is a self-contained, lightweight (37 lbs), portable acoustic hailer for communicating long distances and penetrating high background noice. In fact, the 148 dB SPL peak acoustic output offers a range of up to 1500m with a beam width of +/- 12 deg. The frequency range is 300 Hz – 8 kHz, optimized for human voice. The user has the option of pre-recording a message of up to 16 GB in size or use a patch cable for external storage devices.
