Wise Company is well known for long-term food storage but they’ve introduced a 64 item 5-Day Survival Backpack. What I find interesting about this pack is that it retails for under $70.00.
Sure, it’s just the basics but it would be great for the trunk or closet; just in case. You’ll probably want to add a few items like cordage and a multi-tool but you’ve got some basic food which is generally what drives up the price on these packs.

Violent Little Machine Shop has released the ‘Not A Survival Patch’. Made from leather with hook Velcro backing, it’s a bit thicker than your standard morale patch, but that’s because, counter-intuitive to its name, the patch is stuffed to the gills with survival tools. To get at the goodies within, you simply have to cut it open along the dotted line, which reveals:

Phokus Research Group has introduced a couple of new add-on kits for their Trauma Kits. One is the Boo-Boo with band aids and such and the other is this Bug Out Kit which offers basic survival items. These easily accessible mini kits can be added to Phokus Research kits, other brands or just used in their own.
British kit producer C2R Fast was tasked with a customer to provide to provide several capabilities. In particular, they wanted a set of three things – lightweight shelter, thermal blanket and an air marker panel. After some deliberation, C2R Fast decided to combine all three into one product.
Lightweight ripstop Multicam on the outer and ripstop nylon on the reverse with a thermal layer in between, this is able to fold up nice and small but can be used as a marker panel, is long enough to become a lightweight survival sleeping bag, and with tabs and loops in the right places, as a lightweight shelter.
Once you get your hands on a multifunction item like this, its use is only limited by the imagination.
