You may be familiar with 20$Bandit, the designers of the Mini Kit and Micro Kit EDC pouch. Over the past year, they’ve been developing a new brand and website, Triple 7 Gear, which has just recently launched. Under the Triple 7 Gear name, the Mini and Micro Kits will continue to be manufactured as they were previously: by HonorPoint USA in the United States.

HiVis

Accompanying the new brand is the launch of a brand-new product: The GEN 2 Mini Kit MK-7 in Coyote Brown / High VIZ. The bright orange high visibility interior not only provides good contrast for viewing contents, but also doubles as a signal panel in a pinch.

We look forward to seeing what new products will come out of the new Triple 7 Gear brand. You can check out the new site at www.triple7gear.com.

20$Bandit sent us one of their upcoming Micro Kits to check out. It’s a wallet-sized variant of the Mini Kit, designed for EDC when cargo or BUD pants aren’t an option. It fits into most standard back pockets, and stays closed using an elastic retention band. Inside, there’s plenty of storage space, including elastic retention bands and pockets, for carrying all manner of standard wallet items such as cash and cards, as well as a phone, medical kit, light, multitool, etc. The exterior features a loop panel to attach an ID or morale patch. Overall, it’s a nice piece of kit for EDC needs without being too conspicuous.

You can check out the full details below:

The Micro Kit is a smaller scale model of the already compact Mini Kit MK-7 pouch. Made from 1000D ballistic nylon, the Micro Kit was created to carry the bare minimum EDC items when cargo or BDU pants aren’t an option. Sized to fit inside a standard blue jean back pocket, it can be considered a real ‘gray man’ inclined piece of kit. The external field loop panel allows for ID or morale patches.

The quick access clam shell opening can accommodate either a Samsung Galaxy 5 or iPhone 4, 5, or 6, while allowing for manipulation of the phone through the clear plastic window. Modularity is key with the Micro Kit, as through its retention straps and pockets it can carry all manner of EDC items:

– Micro multi tools
– Knives
– Pens
– Cash
– Credit cards and IDs
– Micro first aid kits
– Micro SERE kits
– Etc.

The Micro Kit is manufactured in the USA by Honorpoint USA. Available for pre-order, with an expected release date of January 1st, 2015.
