Five Ten was colocated with parent company Adidas at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
The sole features Five Ten's famous Stealth Rubber but with a new midsole. Additionally, the heel cup comes up slightly higher and there is now a notch in the rubber rand around the toe to facilitate flex.
I wanted to share a few shoes that will hit stores late next summer.
I really like the updated look of the Tracefinder which reminds of the old European Adidas outdoor boots of the 1980s. It combines Primaloft 200 gram insulation with a new collar design to keep snow and cold out. There’s also a waterproof Climaproof membrane. The shoe features Adidas boost technology midsole and a Continental rubber outsole.
The Conrax is snowshoe compatible with 200 grams of Primaloft insulation and a Clomaproof waterproof membrane. There is a lace cover for added protection as well. The sole is Continental rubber.
This insulated mid height shoe combines nubuck leater with ripstop fabric for an upper that is bonded to their Climaproof membrane. It uses an EVA midsole as well as a Stealth rubber outsole for sure grip on wet surfaces.
Above is a shot of the outsole. You may remember that Stealth rubber came to Adidas after they bought Five.Ten.
Also be on the lookout for new Down filled insulation layers in OD from Adidas.
For Spring 2016, Adidas Outdoor will offer some new colors (Branch and Granite) for the existing Terrex Swift-R GTX as well as introduce some interning new models like the Terrex Solo Approach Shoe featuring Stealth Rubber and the Climacool Jawpaw Lace a water shoe also featuring Stealth Rubber as well as the adidas Drain System.
Below you can see the Stealth Rubber and drainage soles.
This next shoe caught my eye from across the booth. It’s hard to believe that the GSG-9 boot is four decades old but the GSG9 Trail is meant to pay homage to that old standby.
It’s definitely interesting but some of the design features remind more of the newer GSG9.7s rather than the originals.
The Adidas Camo windbreaker is a full-zip windbreaker made from 100% polyester taffeta. It features a hood with drawcord-adjustment, side pockets with snap-button closure, elastic cuffs, and a drawcord on the hem. It comes in Adidas’ own ‘Multicolor’, which has more than a passing resemblance to Flecktarn, for those of you who are into German camouflage.

Adidas has introduced a new in-house Camo pattern for their Pure Boost shoe. Adidas has been doing quite a bit of Camo this season with a MultiCamesque shoe earlier this year along with a ladies jacket in a fractal pattern. This Pure Boost pattern offers woodland and urban colorways.
This is a first look at a new shoe coming 2015 from Adidas Outdoor.
The XKING will feature a removable and swappable midsole/insole for different drops, fits and applications.
The XKING incorporates a full Continental rubber Outsole, speed lacing and EVA moldable tongue.
