Cloud Defensive Updates Website – Optimized Weapon Light Shipping Soon

Cloud Defensive has updated their website in anticipation of the impending release of their Optimized Weapon Light.

The light offers about 1,250 lumens and is IPX8 rated for a depth of 200 feet for 24 hours.

Picatinny compatible, the body is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard coat Type III anodized.

Thanks to their patent-pending Lug-Lok technology, the light head and a tailcap are removable without traditional threading for quick swaps and battery changes. This also makes the light ambidextrous as it can be mounted to either side of the rail.

Additionally, the Field-Serviceable Lens can be swapped out using a tool built into the tailcap.

Interestingly, they rely on a 18650 battery as a power source and state that use of a CR123 battery will result in void of the warranty.

The OWL is offered in Black, Urban Grey or Olive Drab Green.

Coming Soon – Cloud Defensive Optimized Weapon Light In FDE, Exclusive to Milspec Retail

Cloud Defensive is introducing an FDE version of their Optimized Weapon Light In FDE, available exclusively through Milspec Retail. The OWL is reversible so it can be mounted to either side of the rail and is powered by a single 18650 battery. It offers momentary and constant-on capability; output and run-time to be announced soon.

The QD head and tail mean multiple beam patterns are at your fingertips. It also incorporates an integrated tool in the tailcap for attaching the OWL to your weapon as well as for for changing the lens in the field.

LFT / Cloud Defensive LCS Surefire

This is the LCSmk1 mount, a collaboration between Lead Faucet Tactical and Cloud Defensive. It is designed to accept the Surefire ST07 Remote Tape Switch for Weapon lights. It features a 3-clamp, Picatinny rail compatible design.

It is machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodized finish. Additionally, a Mil-Spec Manganese Phosphate finish is applied to the customized and hardened screws. (MIL-STD-171) Proprietary Integrated Cable Channels (ICC) are integrated into both sides of the mount, giving the user the ability to control excess cable and making the mount ambidextrous and reversible. Channels can be used for other cable management as well (IR, etc).

Cloud Defensive Announces Addition of Brian Bishop as Director of Special Programs

Cloud Defensive LLC is pleased to officially announce they have retained Brian Bishop as their Director of Special Programs. Brian served for 8 years as an active duty Infantry NCO in the United States Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged he served an additional 5 years as a defense contractor in support of DEA and USASOC counter narcotics/FID operations. Brian has completed several combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He has an equally impressive consulting career and has worked with some of the largest companies in the industry. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Industrial Design and is the founder and senior designer of Orion Design Group (@oriondesigngroup).

You’ll be seeing a lot from Cloud Defensive in the coming months.
