Lipsey’s and Vickers Tactical Launch Full Flat Dark Earth GLOCK Collaboration

Baton Rouge, La.—Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, and industry icon Larry Vickers, continue to up the ante on the popular “Vickers GLOCK” series.

Shipping immediately as a Lipsey’s Exclusive, this new Full FDE GLOCK series is built on the Vickers preferred RTF2 frame. The initial production run will be limited to 2,000 G17’s and 3,000 G19’s.

There are some familiar features that seat this Full FDE model at the Vickers GLOCK table while maintaining its own unique personality. Touting the new AmeriGlo Pro I-DOT tritium front sight and proven Wilson Combat U-Notch rear, Vickers stated this may be the best sight configuration that he’s ever shot. “I’ve run a lot of pistols set up every way imaginable but this yellow/green front sight picks up as fast as anything out there.”

The reliable Vickers TangoDown add-ons include the extended mag release, extended slide catch and matching FDE magazine base plates. The grip plug with integral disassembly tool, new in FDE, is a perfect match. An allen wrench is also included for rear sight adjustment.

Now the fourth GLOCK in the Lipsey’s/Vickers Tactical offering, there are no signs of slowing down as Lipsey’s Vice President and Product Development Manager, Jason Cloessner, eludes. “The Vickers GLOCK project is one of our most popular and requested exclusives. Lipsey’s Adds Stainless Steel To The Proven Ruger Bisley Flatop .44 Special Revolver

Lipsey’s has offered Bisley .44 Special revolvers since 2010, but only in a blue finish. Now these desirable configurations will be available in a tough, weather resistant stainless steel. They are being built on the mid-size 357 Magnum frame in both the 4-5/8” and 5-1/2” barrel lengths. Rosewood laminate grips and pinned front sights adorn these rugged sixguns.

Baton Rouge, LA – Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, had a strong showing at this year’s SHOT Show by earning top distributor awards with some of the industry’s leading manufacturers.

Whether it’s a first time award or one that Lipsey’s has won multiple times, it’s never taken for granted. The mantra of “AIM HIGHER” continues to serve as the company’s foundation for excellence.

Laurie Lipsey Aronson, President and CEO, was in attendance to accept the NSSF’s SHOT Business Distributor Of The Year award last Tuesday morning. “Our team pushes hard all year long and I am impressed every single day by their work ethic. It’s a pleasure to watch them over-achieve our company goals. Receiving these recognitions makes me even more proud of their accomplishments.”

In addition to leading the GLOCK Perfection Awards list as top commercial distributor, Lipsey’s brought home nearly a half dozen other awards in both the firearms and accessories categories. Brett Frey, Director of Purchasing, enjoyed making the rounds at SHOT Show as the good news kept coming in. “It was humbling yet rewarding to receive multiple honors at this year’s show.     Will There Be A Plum Lipsey’s/Vickers Glock?

    Larry Vickers recently posted this photo he found on the internet to demonstrate what might be in a future limited edition Lipsey’s/Vickers Tactical Glock.  


    He offered this explanation:

    Ok so one idea that kicked around for a future Lipseys -Vickers Glock is a plum frame; the idea behind this is ( as the story goes) when the Soviets first tried to make black polymer for the AK it came out funky and more plum. Since the Glock is the AK of pistols a nice dark plum frame would be cool on a future run. We are thinking to match the Magpul plum to make everyone happy; it’s not as dark plum as some of the Soviet stuff but is darker than other shades of plum in the AK market. This pic is a frame that has been painted to match but I include it for your consideration; the pic is not mine as I found it on the internet.

    LIPSEY’S AND VICKERS TACTICAL DELIVER THE TRIFECTA OF EXCLUSIVE GLOCK PISTOLS

    Beginning immediately, Lipsey’s is selling LAV serialized RTF2 framed GLOCK 17 and GLOCK 19 pistols in classic black. They come equipped with Wilson Combat sights, which now include an all new gold bead front. In addition, Larry Vickers again taps Tango Down to produce the extended mag release, slide catch, magazine base plates, grip plug with integral disassembly tool and allen wrench for rear sight adjustment.

    This new Vickers Tactical Lipsey’s Exclusive GLOCK bolsters the tactical color triangle that also includes grey and flat dark earth with some added extras. Larry Vickers had this to say about this latest venture, “The most requested color for the Vickers GLOCKs from Lipsey’s is black by a wide margin. After careful consideration, we decided to mount a gold bead front sight with an otherwise black pistol. The combination is striking to say the least.”

    Lipsey’s Rings In New Year With Management Team Promotions

    Baton Rouge, LA – Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, is excited to announce the promotion of three long-time, dedicated members of its management team.

    The first working day of the year began with Lipsey’s annual company kickoff meeting. Laurie Aronson, President and CEO, was elated to announce the promotion of both Flint Virgets and Mark Emonet from Vice President to Senior Vice President status. In addition, 17 year veteran Jason Cloessner, Lipsey’s Product Development Manager, was elevated to Vice President. All three will remain in their current operational roles with Lipsey’s.

    Commenting on the promotions, Laurie Aronson said, “I can’t say enough about these wonderful gentlemen that I have had the pleasure of working with for so many years. They all set a great example for the entire Lipsey’s team.”

    Lipsey’s Announces Vickers Tactical/Lipsey’s Exclusive Grey GLOCKs – Updated

    Late last year, Lipsey’s and Larry Vickers partnered up to offer a limited run of GEN 3 RTF2 Frame GLOCK 17 and 19s in Flat Dark Earth, complete with unique serial numbers. Today, Lipsey’s announced, via their Facebook page, that they’ve partnered up with Larry Vickers once again to produce a new line of Vickers Tactical/Lipsey’s Exclusive GLOCKs, this time in Grey. Models G17 and G19 will be made available with RTF2 frames, and the following accessories:

  • Vickers Tactical TangoDown slide catch
  • Vickers Tactical TangoDown mag release
  • Vickers Tactical TangoDown magazine base plates
  • Vickers Tactical TangoDown All-new grip plug w/ integral disassembly tool
  • Wilson Combat Vickers Elite sights w/ fiber optic fronts

    Larry Vickers continues to work with industry partners Wilson Combat, who created the Vickers Elite sights, and Tango Down, the manufacturer of all other parts. When asked about the second round of these special make-up GLOCK’s Larry said, “One thing we wanted to do this edition was take the feedback of customers and incorporate those ideas into this limited edition. The green fiber optic front sight and the grip plug with integral takedown tool are perfect examples of that. Combined with the grey color, these will set a new standard for unique configuration GLOCK pistols.”
