Raven Concealment Systems and Eleven 10 LLC Collaborate on New Low-Viz Blow-Out Kit

Wednesday, May 1st, 2013

This is literally a first-draft prototype of a low-vis blow-out kit Raven Concealment Systems is co-developing with fellow NE Ohio-based tactical company Eleven 10 LLC.

This kit is mounted on a Raven Concealment Systems ModuLoader Frames (a 5-finger Modular Frame).

The tourniquet carrier uses no straps or flaps, yet securely holds a CAT TQ in any position. The best part about this component is that it requires no secondary motions to deploy the TQ; simply grab the CAT and draw it from the carrier.

The mini-blow out kit uses a compact pull-out pouch containing a trauma dressing, Quick Clot Combat Gauze, Russell Chest Seal, and a pair of gloves.

The pouch design is only a proof of concept, and the production version will be much cleaner execution.

RCS ModuLoader Frames Are Meant For HSGI Tacos

Friday, November 30th, 2012

20121129-205921.jpg

Raven Concealment Systems prepared this graphic to explain that their new ModuLoader Frames are intended specifically for use with the HSGI family of TACOs.

They also provided this clarification:

Frames are made to work specifically with HSGI Taco pouches. Taco pouches have a number of features that work with the Frames to hold the pouch in place. All Taco pouches have three horizontal rows of 1″ webbing with no space in between the rows. The Taco pouches for rifle magazines are tacked down the center of these three rows to create two separate channels. On the Taco pouches, by selecting which two rows of webbing you pass the Frame through will allow you to adjust the ride height of the Taco.

If you want to use another type or brand of pouch on the Frames, the pouch must have AT LEAST two rows of 1″ webbing WITH NO SPACE IN BETWEEN THEM. Rifle mag carriers must also be tacked down the center to create two channels. Many MOLLE/PALS pouches do not have these features and thus will not mount correctly to the Frames.

Additionally, the HSGI Taco pouches are sewn with very tight tolerances. One of the main complaints about Tacos is that they are very difficult to mount to a MOLLE platform, and much of that difficulty is due to how tightly the PALS channels are sewn. To work with the Taco pouches, the fingers on the Frames were spaced at one inch intervals instead of 1 1/8″ or 1 1/2″. While this spacing fits the Tacos perfectly, it is too close together to match up with most other pouches.

Most of the other types of pouches we tried on the Frame had a tendency to slide around (either vertically or horizontally) because of the more generous spacing of the MOLLE/PALS interface. Also, most other types of pouches are wider than the Tacos due to their construction. This makes fitting more than one pouch on a frame side by side less than ideal.

New from Raven Concealment Systems – ModuLoader Frames

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012

Raven Concealment Systems has just released details on their new ModuLoader Frames. Part of the ModuLoader series, the new Frames are designed to bridge the gap between daily concealed carry gear and more “tactical” load carriage products like the extremely versatile Taco pouches from High Speed Gear, Inc.

20121113-180415.jpg

Think of them as an adapter that will help you adapt your Tacos and other accessories for use with a standard belt. ModuLoader Frames are available in four sizes and manufactured from the same material that RCS uses for their injection molded belt loops and pancake wings meaning they will provide flexibility for increased comfort.

They will also allow four different ride heights and accommodate five different belt loops for a customized fit and will still link and integrate with many existing Raven Concealment products.

They will begin taking orders on Black Friday (23 November), with RCS promising that orders will ship in time to be under the tree Christmas morning.

Like all RCS products, the ModuLoader Frames are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, and are covered by their unconditional lifetime warranty.

Quick Mount Straps – New OWB Accessory from RCS

Friday, June 22nd, 2012

Raven Concealment developed the new Quick Mount Straps so that you wouldn’t have to thread the holster on and off the belt, which when you throw some belt loops in the mix can become a real pain.

Made from the same material as their IWB Soft-loops, and utilizing the same Mil-Spec “Pull-The-Dot” snap fasteners, the new QMS maintain the same ride height as their standard polymer loops, and are compatible with all of Raven’s holsters and modular carriers including those with MD-cut profiles.
