One example of this is SOTech. Back in 1999 they developed belt hanger with zapped Clip pouches for LE (left above). Earlier this year, they modified the system in order to allow the pouch to attach directly to the belt (center above) but they split the belt attachment in order to make it PALS compatible. Now, they’ve adapted this to a new pouch called the MAG-MED rig.
The MAG-MED rig is part of their MACTAC line which supports LE. This drop leg rig holds four magazines plus a full IFAK. Primarily focused on Active Shooter scenarios, the medical gear ingeniously sits in front of and below the magazines.
S.O.Tech To Attend SOMA 2014

S.O.Tech will be attending SOMA 2014 in Tampa, Florida at the Tampa Convention Center, December 8-11. They will be located at booth #132, displaying their Medical Survival Slings, Viper Flat IFAK and other SOF Medical staples. The Survival Sling Medical version will also be on display in the Tribalco booth, and is available to the US military through Tribalco. It was developed in collaboration with Fenton Pharmaceuticals, who is distributing them in Europe. Fenton will also be at SOMA showcasing the sling.
This year, S.O.Tech will also be having Dustoff Medical at their booth debuting their new Splint device. The Suspected Orthopedic Fracture Splint was created by Special Operations Medics for quickly immobilizing orthopedic injuries. It is manufactured from carbon fiber and Cordura nylon and is made in the USA.

Salesperson
Looking for an outgoing, motivated sales person with energy, fresh ideas, and perseverance. Military or law enforcement experience is a plus but not required. A love of tactical gear, gear design, and working with our nation’s heroes is a must. Experience in sales and referrals are required. Understanding of digital advertising concepts also required. Salespeople who wait for the phone to ring need not apply. Job is primarily in office, but travel to trade shows and customer sites is required.

Operations Manager
Looking for a person with experience in production operations, preferably in sewing industry. Ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills (ability to communicate and motivate) and strong numbers and financial skills (ability to establish and track metrics while monitoring throughput based on financial goals). Baseline requirements: Improves the operational efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of the production staff. Responsible for planning, reporting, and building key metrics, as well as increasing the speed of throughput and meeting delivery dates. The ideal candidate will be able to think big while handling the details. Must be skilled with Excel and have a working knowledge of Outlook and Word. Ability to form relationships with all levels and departments within the company. Experience in the apparel industry or with cutting and sewing operations is a plus. Bilingual Spanish is also a plus.
All duties will be performed in SOTech plant in Carson, CA.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s elite Special Investigation Section (SIS) has spearheaded the development of game-changing tactics to make our nation’s streets safe. Gone are the days of detectives in police windbreakers waiting as a suspect barricades himself and SWAT arrives for a long standoff. SIS officers worked with S.O. There is another hole in the ranks at S.O.Tech. An ever present smile, an uplifting sense of humor, and the touch of a true craftsman. For over a decade, Chuy’s blade cut sheets that became the gear that protected and supported Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Officers of the Law. His crafted pieces saw service from the streets of our cities to far away battlefields. He left an impact on the world’s warriors, and he left an impact on our family. It was Chuy’s sweat that built our company, and we stood by him as he fought the disease. A great craftsman and a good friend, he will be missed.
