Speer Secures Long-Term Ammunition Contract from French National Police

Latest Round of International Contract Highlights Speer’s Commitment to Excellence

LEWISTON, Idaho – February 14, 2017 – The French National Police recently awarded Speer with a long-term contract for its 124-grain, 9mm Luger Gold Dot Duty ammunition. This contract reflects the company’s industry-leading technologies and longstanding commitment to excellence.

Department of Homeland Security Awards Speer Gold Dot with Contract for up to 120 Million Rounds

LEWISTON, Idaho – December 19, 2017 – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), recently awarded Speer a major ammunition contract. Starting delivery in 2018, the contract provides for up to 120 million rounds of 124-grain, 9mm Luger Gold Dot Duty ammunition to multiple DHS law enforcement components and other Federal agencies for up to five years.

This contract will provide the organization’s agents and officers with the legendary performance that has made Gold Dot the No. 1 load of law enforcement worldwide.

Speer LE Raises The Bar For Duty Handgun Ammunition With Gold Dot G2

LEWISTON, Idaho – August 17, 2016 – For years, Speer Gold Dot has been the pinnacle of duty handgun ammunition performance. New Gold Dot G2 builds on this reputation with a next-generation duty bullet design. Shipments of this new product are now being delivered to Law Enforcement dealers.

Instead of a large cavity in the nose, Gold Dot G2 has only a shallow dish filled with a high-performance elastomer. On impact, the material is forced into specially designed fissures to start the expansion process, as opposed to conventional bullet designs, which need target media to enter the hollow point and create expansion forces. The result is extremely uniform expansion, and more consistent penetration across barrier types, gun platforms and barrel lengths.
