Propper told us they are now stocking six models of Wiley-X protective eyewear. They offer ANSI Z87 and OSHA protective ratings.
This is Wiley X’s answer to the GI flight glove. The Orion Glove is NAVAIR & US Army approved as well as US Air Force Safe-to-Fly certified.
It is made from a Nomex/Kevlar knit and Sherman skin leather, making it at least 4x more durable than the issue glove.
Available in Coyote and Foliage Green, sizes Small – 2X-Large.
The new Wiley-X FR Paladin Combat Gloves meet ASTM D 6413 Flame Resistance, ASTM F 1790 Fabric Cut Resistance and NFPA 1971-07 Thermal Resistance. They incorporate DRIFIRE fleece insulation which provides both warmth and moisture wicking for intermediate to cold weather use.
They also incorporate a Kevlar weave throughout the fingers and back of the hand for both strength and FR as well as FR treated goatskin palms. Additionally, the Paladin includes a padded knuckle protector.
Offered in Coyote Brown and Foliage Green sizes Small – XXLarge.
Wiley X products are available for unit and agency purchase from www.ADSinc.com/Wiley-X.

Wiley X® has announced its Wiley X Talon ballistic eyewear will now be manufactured in America. This is just a part of a larger effort to produce more products here at home.
“We are American proud, and we believe there is value in fabricating products here in the U.S.,†said Wiley X Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr. “We consider the movement toward making more products in America as one that only strengthens our commitment to creating the very best eyewear protection available for those who serve our community and our country.â€
The Talon’s interchangeable smoke and clear lens system feature 100 percent UVA/UVB protection and are compatible with a prescription insert. This distortion-free system relies on shatterproof Seleniteâ„¢ lenses featuring T-Shellâ„¢ lens coating that resists scratching in extreme environments, and meets both US MIL-PRF-31013 VO ballistic impact and ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity impact standards.
Wiley X® has been making protective eyewear since 1985. Naturally, they will be presenting new products at this year’s SHOT Show. In fact, the show’s New Product Showcase will include the Wiley X Saber Advancedâ„¢ from the company’s Changeable Series. Additionally, Wiley X® will have two exhibits at the show, booth #128 and #20220, and will be generating additional buzz with its new Wiley X® Black Opsâ„¢ line — black on black shades in some of the company’s most popular styles, created for elite-level military and law enforcement personnel and dedicated shooters. Each “operative†in the series combines Wiley X’s High Velocity Protectionâ„¢ (HVPâ„¢) combined with cool, sleek designs. We checked the Operator series out last year but the booth was so swamped we couldn’t get in to talk to anyone. In addition to their tactical brands they will also have their new hunting eyewear on display.
