SWIPES (Soldier Worn Integrated Power Equipment System) is a modular power distribution system designed to reduce battery weight carried by soldiers. It is adaptable to a variety of commercially available tactical vests. SWIPES utilizes a central distribution hub which connects to an external battery source. Quick disconnect cables attached to the hub are woven through the vest and can connected to charging stations for all utilized electronic devices. SWIPES is adaptable any number of battery sources that can supply power in the range of 10-16 volts. 7500 SWIPES systems are currently being utilized in theater by select U.S. Army units.
There is also the upcoming SWIPES II PD, which in addition to distributing power also transmits data from all networked items to a tablet or smartphone device.

The Hardpoint HL Tactical Equipment Belt is a two-belt system designed for everyday wear. The simple, hook and loop inner belt is a low profile affair designed to keep your pants up and help lock the outer belt in place when worn.
The outer belt incorporates full mil-spec hardware and construction and is lined with pile tape in order to mate with the inner belt. We had a chance to check out the full line of Vertx packs at the North American Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors Convention in Las Vegas. I’m really impressed with the amount of detail they put into these designs. The best way to learn about these is through video or hands on experience.
