At this year’s SHOT Show, Springfield Armory unveiled a number of new stocks for their M1A and it variants. This includes MultiCam and Flat Dark Earth stocks for the SOCOM 16, Flat Dark Earth composite stocks for the Scout Squad, Kryptek Highlander for the standard M1A, and the Precision Adjustable stock for the Loaded M1A.
Springfield also introduced their new sub-compact XD MOD.2 line. MOD.2 has the new GripZone feature, which adds three different textured zones to the grip. These textures are designed to make the pistol less prone to torque, wrench, and flip when shooting, and each zone is designed to meet up with certain sections of the shooter’s hand for comfort and retention.
Additional features of the MOD.2 line include:
– Low-profile rear combat sight / fiber optic front sight
– Loaded chamber indicator
– Striker status indicator
– Posi-wedge slide serrations
– Slimmed slide for concealability
– Slim contoured disassembly lever
– Accessory rail
– Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) trigger system
– No snag trigger guard
– Ambi mag release
– HIGH-HAND grip relief
– HIGH-HAND beavertail
– Ultra slim contoured frame
– Grip safety
