Kitanica – American Hoodie

Kitanica’s American Hoodie is constructed of Polartec Thermal Pro 200 weight fleece fabric which provides warmth, comfort, and breathability. The hood features a stiffened brim with an adjustable cinching shock cord. The left arm is outfitted with Kitanica’s signature covered pen tubes which are mounted on a zippered bicep pocket, while the opposite right bicep features a Velcro loop panel.

The front of the American Hoodie features a cavernous front pocket with left and right side zippered access; the backing of the pocket is constructed of mesh allowing for ventilation in warmer temperatures when left open. The interior of this pocket wall functions as a smaller admin pocket with Velcro closure for smaller items.

The Austrailan Army Defence Newspaper Features New Packs

The Australian Army’s Defence Newspaper has released a special issue which features an extended piece on ANZAC Day 2015, as well as the Australian Army in Afghanistan, and the Soldier Combat Ensemble which includes a new range of packs:

The packs are tailored to the needs of various tiers of Soldiers, and include a purpose-made pack with straps to attach a sniper rifle for snipers, a medium assault pack for Tier 2 close combatants, and a dismounted field pack for infantry, combat engineers, joint fire teams, and Special Forces.

JPC 2.0

The latest iteration of Crye’s Jumpable Plate Carrier, the JPC 2.0 is a lightweight and minimal armor vest designed to maximize mobility and packability, while reducing as much weight as possible. OWLTAC A1T ENDURE Flashlight On Kickstarter

OWLTAC is a flashlight company that has started a Kickstarter campaign for what they claim is the first dual independent, selective battery powered flashlight, the A1T Endure. The A1T features an aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum body with type III hard anodizing, concealed o-rings, a belt clip, and lanyard holes. It is IPX5 certified, and drop rated to 1m.

The most unique feature of the A1T is its dual-battery operation. Powered by two CR123A batteries, the A1T only draws from one battery at a time, allowing the user to switch to the second battery when needed via a toggle switch; this feature has been compared to an independent backup battery on an aircraft system The A1T outputs 200 lumens for 1 hour on a single CR123A on the max setting, and 16 hours on the 20 lumens low setting; the above image represents the run time with two batteries.

C&H Precision Weapons Introduces New Javelin Action

C&H Precision Weapons has announced their new Javelin Action. Javelin is a precision bolt action with a standard Remington 700 footprint, allowing for ease of stock selection and off-the-shelf custom fit. It features an M-16 style extractor, spiral cut bolt flutes, and a side bolt release.

Included with Javelin is a 20 MOA MilSpec 1913 accessory rail, pinned and secured with 8-40 screws, and a pinned precision ground recoil lug.

Javelin Actions are manufactured with pre-hardened chromium 416R stainless steel. They are available in Short, Medium, XM, Long, and XL lengths, to accommodate all popular factory chambering and extended length hand loads.
