Monday, February 9th, 2015Since the Manly Innovations Magazine Base Interchange System has started showing up on social media again, we figured what the heck, let’s reshare our story from Jan 2014. The ‘Manly’ bayonet is now referred to as the DED (double edge defense) Blade and is offered with a training version cleverly named the Not-So DED Blade. And yes, Manly is the guy’s last name. How awesome is that?
The Manly Innovations MBX (Magazine Base Interchange System) is a baseplate replacement for magazines that functions as a quick attach/detach for select attachments. Initial attachments will include the ‘Manly Bayonet‘ DED Blade, Glass Breaker/Seatbelt Cutter, and a Picatinny rail.
The proprietary ‘Manly Bayonet‘ DED Blade allows the user to deploy a blade in a low or no-ammo scenario without holstering the sidearm and reaching for a fixed blade. It comes with a dedicated Kydex sheath that mounts to PALS webbing, which allows the user to mount and detach the DED blade during draw and holster.

AR Lower Receiver Extension Adapter for SIG MCX Upper
Monday, February 9th, 2015Once the SIG SAUER MCX hits the market, you’ll be able to use an MCX upper with a standard AR lower thanks to this receiver extension adapter.
The MCX doesn’t use a traditional operating or “buffer” spring like on a standard AR. Consequently, this adapter takes the place of the receiver extension and is required because the MCX uses dual operating springs which sit above the bolt carrier group. This makes the upper a little taller than a standard version. The Picatinny rail section accepts the various stocks.

The only truly authentic, genuine, first-quality PenCott fabrics are the ones that that have been or are being sold by Hyde Definition, MMI Textiles or Tacticaltrim.
Hyde Definition recently issued an alert regarding both the sale of seconds quality as well as counterfeit fabrics.
For example, this garment sewn in a Crye Precision combat uniform style is made from seconds quality GreenZone fabric. These are ejected off-color and other types of ‘second-quality’ PenCott camouflage fabric which have turned up on eBay and other online wholesale outlets being sold as good quality material. Some customers have already been duped by the low prices on the per-yard fabric and/or by low shipping rates.
If its not genuine first-quality fabric, there could be one or more problems with it – such as; the colors being off, the colors will fade quickly, the fabric will shrink too much when its washed, etc.
Counterfeits on the other hand are originating in China, Indonesia and Ukraine. These are unauthorized reproductions of genuine fabrics. Aside from being thievery, these fabrics suffer from indistinct prints, incorrect colors, and low quality substrate fabrics. Once again, buy fabric from legitimate sources to ensure quality.
Hyde Definition is pursuing legal action against the counterfeiters, and has pledged to take action against any retailer who offers finished goods made from these counterfeit fabrics.
