US Army Selects SIG SAUER for 300 Win Mag Sniper Ammunition

NEWINGTON, N.H., (January 10, 2020) – SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to announce the selection of SIG SAUER Ammunition by the U.S. Army Contracting Command for a $10 million firm-fixed priced contract to manufacture the MK 248 MOD 1 and MOD 0 .300 Win Mag ammunition for use in U.S. Military sniper platforms.

Ron Cohen, President and CEO, SIG SAUER, Inc. began, “This award by the U.S. Army is validation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing that has resulted in the highest quality, and most precise, ammunition delivering on target accuracy for snipers in the field.”

The U.S. Military sniper.300 Win Mag ammunition will be manufactured at the state-of-the-art SIG SAUER ammunition manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

The dual layer MID 400 merino package is used throughout the hood, back and shoulders as well as two zippered hand pockets. With over 18 total pockets this smock serves a load bearing vest style capability many outer garments could not support. An oversized hood works great over the top of a bump lid or helmet.

FirstSpear has also used a low profile padding through the elbow and forearm finished with extra large adjustable cuffs. Webbing attachment points on the back and hood can be used to secure a pack like the ECP or even add foliage for concealment. Arc’teryx LEAF took the Atom SL Hoody from the Outdoor line and made a limited run in Wolf Grey. It’s a great option for three-season wear. It just depends on which three seasons you’re looking at, based on where you’re at. I’ve had one since they were launched years ago and worn it in the summer in the mountains and in the winter in the Everglades.

It features Coreloft insulation with air permeable side panels. It is lightweight, compresses well, and dries quickly. It is DWR treated and features two zippered side pockets and an uninsulated hood.

High Speed Gear Releases New ReFlex IFAK System and Duty Mini Multi-Access Comm TACO

SWANSBORO, N.C. – Jan. 7, 2020 – High Speed Gear® kicked off the new year with two new products, the ReFlex™ IFAK System medical kit and Duty Mini Multi-Access Comm TACO®.

These products were designed to meet popular demand and will be on display at SHOT Show 2020 in Booth 11162. While the Mini MAC is currently available for retail, HSGI® will fully launch the ReFlex™ immediately following SHOT Show.

The ReFlex™ is a two-piece system that was developed with direct input from active-duty medical personnel. This system is designed to organize and hold the contents of the U.S. Army-issued IFAK ambidextrous accessibility. The system comprises the ReFlex™ Carrier and Med Roll. The carrier can mount horizontally and vertically on belts, as well as on MOLLE platforms as small as our Operator Belt, while the roll can hang from a car head rest or IV rack without spilling its contents. These can be purchased together or separately.

The Duty Mini MAC TACO® was designed for the APX 6000/7000/8000 and will hold most other small, handheld radios and issued personal communications devices. The open-top and open-side design allows access to primary radio controls when holstered, while the hidden shock cord offers the versatility of the TACO® design in the sleek finish of traditional law enforcement duty gear.
