While not all inclusive, this Air Force photo showcases a good cross section of the history of Air Force uniforms found its way on to wikipedia. We didn’t realize they were sporting Crocs back in the ’50s. That’s definitely not SAC.

5.11 Tactical produced an excellent video featuring Kyle Lamb using a full array of their clothing and equipment. However, Kyle’s plate carrier somehow went uncredited. Once we took a look at it we realized it was a Tyr Tactical LWPC. We will say that 5.11 makes a great line of tactical products and their new MultiCam lineup is very well designed. We particularly like their Rapid Assault Shirt. But, they are missing a plate carrier. We wonder if this isn’t an indication of things to come?

US Elite Gear is offering an exclusive version of the popular Arc’teryx Covert Zip in Crocodile. I have to agree with their name. I have been wearing a Blue one for several winters now and is one of my favorite sweaters. It is very comfortable and the perfect layer over a performance t-shirt for brisk days. I picked it up at a Hudson Trail Outfitter sale when I lived in the DC area and like I said, I have been wearing it for five years and it shows little wear. Granted, I haven’t worn it 24/7 but if you take care of it, it will take care of you. Expect some minor pilling but this has never detracted from the performance or look of the Covert Zip.

Black Palm Syndicate has released their first cap design. These are Black fitted Flex Fit caps in size s/m or l/xl. As you can see, the Black Palm Syndicate logo is embroidered on the cap. Overall simple, but built using the Flex Fit design which I really like.

This is the first public photo of the Vertx smock unveiled on their Facebook page. The photo was taken at IWA in Germany.
We aren’t allowed to release any details yet but we can say that it is unlike any smock you’ve ever seen and will be available initially in MultiCam with other colors to follow.
If you just can’t wait to get your hands on the Talos Combat Uniform from Arc’teryx we have some good news for you. The pants have been released and are currently in stock at Tactical Distributors as well as OP Tactical. So far these are the only two retail outlets we know of.
Currently available in any color you want as long as it’s MultiCam, additional color options are still about a year out. They are manufactured from 50/50 NYCO and come in sizes small – XX large. These are right on size with other Arc’teryx products. They are amazing pants and packed with features such as the webbing reinforced kneepad pockets with slits for the straps to be used on the outside of the pants. The pants also feature an articulated fit, tool loops, and an integrated gaiter designed to keep debris out of your boots without resorting to traditional blousing. We bought ours from Tactical Distributors and can’t say enough good things about them.
