Hard Point Equipment Announces The Completion Of Their Restructuring Process

Hard Point Equipment is pleased to announce the completion of their restructuring process. Due to the many increasingly difficult challenges associated with effective outsource manufacturing, Hard Point Equipment has at last put forth the effort and necessary capital investment to bring the majority of our production in-house now. This fundamental change means that in the future we will be able to more reliably supply our customers what they need, when they need it, and at a quality level that consistently upholds our ever-stringent standards.

In order to accommodate the added capabilities, however, our product line will be changing in some significant ways as well. The production focus will be shifted away from tactical nylon to high-end shooting enhancements and specialty cutlery, though we will continue producing a few of our core soft goods.

In addition to these, we will also be embarking on some exciting new joint ventures with several well-respected strategic partners.

The first of these is a new ultra-concealable, hard armor system, the “300,” made to our specifications by CATI Armor that utilizes our innovative, patented “carrier-free”, plate harness system. As thin as typical soft armor, but capable of defeating rifle-grade threats, this revolutionary product is likely to forever change the way body armor is worn by the covert operator.

Velocity Systems Announces New Distribution Manager, Vince Pavone

Dulles, VA – April 13, 2016 – Velocity Systems announces, Vince Pavone has joined the team as the new Distribution Manager. The Distribution Manager is a new position at Velocity Systems created in an effort to expand Velocity Systems dealer/distributor network and provide current dealers /distributors with a higher level of support. Vince will be responsible for all dealer/distributor interactions and support moving forward.

Vince Pavone has 10 years of sales experience and was most recently a regional account representative with Kill Cliff. Notably, his experience also includes 9 years in the Army Reserves. Brownells Opens Retail Store in Grinnell, Iowa

Grinnell, Iowa (April 12, 2016) – The 77-year-old, Iowa-based firearm industry giant Brownells, Inc. has opened its first ever retail store location in Grinnell, Iowa. Known worldwide for its all-things-firearms website – Brownells.com – and their enormous catalogs, the Grinnell retail store marks the company’s first brick and mortar location.

The 7,000 sq. ft. retail store, attached to Brownells’ new 245,000 sq. ft. distribution center, is located at 3006 Brownells Parkway in Grinnell, Iowa, just a few yards off Interstate 80 at the 182 mile marker.

Visitors to the new retail location will experience one of the nicest and most unique gun stores they’ve ever visited. They’ll be greeted by nearly 1,200 new and used firearms, plus a large selection of ammunition, optics, parts and accessories, all set against an outdoorsy backdrop with rich wood accents and a world-class taxidermy collection. If customers don’t find what they’re looking for on the shelves, they’re invited to order from the warehouse where any of the nearly 100,000 firearms-related items will be delivered to the store in minutes.
