Warrior East – Cejay Engineering

Friday, July 10th, 2015

Cejay Engineering has had a great job with the Neptune signal beacon.  Based on this success they’ve introduced a Public Safety version in “come find me” Yellow.  Additionally, they’ve swapped the lights out to Red, White and Blue and removed the IR LED.  This helped lower the cost to make it more accessible by the civilian community.

Princeton Tec Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary

Wednesday, June 17th, 2015

When I found out that this year Princeton Tec celebrates its 40th anniversary, I asked VP Dave Cozzone what that meant to the customer and the answer I came away with is impressive indeed. You can read the deatils in the press release below but I want to hit some wave top points that really bring home what is going on at PT.

They are more than doubling their square footage this year and moving to hire an additional 150 workers. That increase in capacity makes this year’s expansion into lanterns possible as well as improvements in all of the other areas they’ve mastered; dive lights, headlamps, military helmet lights, and industrial lighting. They continue to apply 40 years worth of customer interaction, technical development, manufacturing application in everything they do and I can’t wait to see what new products we see roll out of this latest expansion.

Please join me in congratulating Princeton Tec for 40 successful years!

BORDENTOWN, N.J. (June 16, 2015) – Legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden coached the Bruins to their 10th national title in 12 seasons. The Sex Pistols played their first gig. And, Papua New Guinea gained its independence from Australia. It was 1975, and during this same year, in a modest work space in Princeton, New Jersey, dive enthusiast William Stephens hatched a company that would become a leader in the outdoor lighting industry: Princeton Tec.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the family-owned company continues its unwavering commitment to U.S. manufacturing and industry leading lighting products. Princeton Tec has grown from its humble beginnings to becoming the market leader of headlamps and handheld lights for the outdoor, bike, tactical, industrial, and SCUBA markets, and has its sights set on another four decades of growth and product innovation.

“Princeton Tec is part of a small group of outdoor companies that have been operating for four decades. We take pride in the fact that we’ve stayed true to our roots while maintaining a high standard of product creation,” said Dave Cozzone, VP of Princeton Tec. “It’s inspiring to reflect on the brand over the years, the progression and change that’s occurred in our products and markets, and the sustainable growth and core values the company has cultivated since 1975.”

From the revolutionary dive Bottom Timer Stephens created in 1975 to the brand’s recent Backpacker Editor’s Choice award for their Sync headlamp, volumes of history, industry leadership, and best-in-class product have defined the brand over the last 40 years. Today, Princeton Tec currently offers more than 50 versatile lights, built with the end-user in mind. From the world’s highest peaks to the deepest ocean floors to pedaling two wheels on every continent, Princeton Tec’s lights help assist and inspire professional athletes and novices alike to pursue their goals.

For 2015, Princeton Tec continues to shine bright as it heads into the summer season. The company was recently awarded an $18M Economic Development Authority tax grant from the state of New Jersey for manufacturing expansion, which will support infrastructure, employee, and product development growth. This, coupled with innovative new product and a 40th anniversary celebration at this summer’s Outdoor Retailer show in Aug., position the brand for greatness and continued fun-inspired leadership in the industry for years to come.

SureFire Has Unveiled The New P2X Fury Flashlight Featuring IntelliBeam Technology

Sunday, June 14th, 2015

SureFire has recently announced their new auto-adjusting P2X Fury with IntelliBeam Technology. The full release can be read below:

SureFire Unveils World’s Finest Auto-Adjusting Flashlight: The New Fury With IntelliBeam Technology

P2X-AOV_Intellibeam_profile

Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of the world’s finest—and most innovative—illumination tools and tactical products, is releasing its first auto-adjusting flashlight—an IntelliBeam™ version of the popular P2X Fury. This new Fury with proprietary IntelliBeam™ Technology (P2XIB) features an intelligent sensor and microprocessor-based system that continuously and seamlessly adjusts light output by constantly evaluating your surroundings. This model always delivers the right amount of light for the task at hand.

This cutting-edge technology also helps preserve dark-adapted vision by evaluating the environment before turning on, so it never activates on high in close quarters. If you’re in an open field, you’ll get all 600 lumens. If you’re prepping gear or loading a vehicle, it will dial in the necessary output based on the environmental feedback it receives, down to as little as 15 lumens. Just press or click the tailcap switch to engage this auto-adjusting mode. To override this mode, simply return to off and press or click again within one second to activate the max-output/tactical mode. This second press or click locks in all 600 lumens where maximum output is needed. The P2XIB defaults to IntelliBeam mode when it’s off for more than one second.

P2X-AOV_Intellibeam

The P2X Fury with IntelliBeam Technology—like all Fury models—uses a high-performance LED to deliver its broad, intense light that’s focused by its reflector into a smooth, wide beam with a bright central area and generous peripheral light. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is knurled to provide a comfortable yet secure grip and it is hard anodized to military specifications (Mil-Spec Type III) for extreme resistance to abrasion and corrosion.

The P2XIB is powered by two 123A lithium batteries (included) and has a MSRP of $229. It’s available for purchase via authorized SureFire dealers, by visiting www.surefire.com, or by calling SureFire at 800-828-8809.

Princeton Tec Helmet Mount

Wednesday, May 13th, 2015

Princeton Tec Helmet Mount 1

Princeton Tec has developed a solution for their lights which helps to alleviate “rail estate” issues on ballistic helmets such as those from Team Wendy, Ops-Core, and Crye. The Princeton Tec Helmet Mount is a simple-yet-effective nylon piece which is placed behind the helmet rail, and allows users to relocate their lights above the rail, freeing up space for other accessories.

Princeton Tec Helmet Mount 2

The Princeton Tec Helmet Mount will be sold as an accessory kit with the Switch and Charge mounts included. If you’re attending SOFIC, you can check the new mount out at the Princeton Tec booth.
