The first product in Zulu Nylon Gear’s new line is the MOLLE Quiver. This is a fully modular arrow quiver system which can be quickly converted to either back or hip style carry modes to facilitate both range and field carry. The user simply clicks into either a shoulder harness, a belt hanger, or direct attach to armor by way of a quick disconnect system using ITW QASM Buckles. These buckles can be adjusted to any location on the Quiver body for the perfect fit thanks to a MOLLE grid running the full length of the tube. The MOLLE grid can also be used to attach other MOLLE/PALS compatible pouches and accessories, such as the ITS Skeletonized Bottle Holder and Tallboy ETA Trauma Kit pouches also made by Zulu Nylon Gear.

Blue Force Gear Introduces CHAPSminus

Monday, April 1st, 2013

It’s amazing what you can do with that ULTRAcomp laminate and BFG’s Helium Whisper technology. I’m expecting these to be real popular in some circles.

20130401-110717.jpg

CHAPSminus is the latest innovation of the MOLLEminus product line. CHAPSminus is the logical alternative to traditional cargo pants in hot environments. The open design keeps the wearer cooler and allows gentle breezes to pass directly through the CHAPSminus. CHAPSminus is fully MOLLE compatible – allowing the placement of magazine and utility pouches right where they are needed. No longer is organization limited to wherever pockets are sewn on to traditional cargo pants.

The MOLLEminus design provides the thinnest, strongest, lightest modular load carriage of individual combat equipment: half the thickness of a dime, over 4 times as abrasion resistant as air textured nylon and formed from a single piece of Blue Force Gear’s proprietary ULTRAcomp™ laminate. CHAPSminus is compatible with all legacy issue MOLLE pouches and for the ultimate lightweight thigh rig combine CHAPSminus with pouches featuring Blue Force Gear’s revolutionary Helium Whisper™ attachment system.

As with all Blue Force Gear, it is made with excellence in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Palspocket – New from Hill People Gear

Friday, March 29th, 2013

HPG has introduced a very cool new modular pocket for their packs. Called the Palspocket, it was created by adapting the material used in FirstSpear’s 6/12 technology. They turned the material inside out which boasts a Velcro backer. Thanks to the laser cut PALS compatible holes combined with the Velcro pile you can affix other pouches and equipment to the interior of the Palspocket. At just 8 ounces, it’s 9″x17″x3″ and offers a 6 channels / 7 rows PALS grid. It’s very innovative.

Haku – The New SSE Rope Bag from Arc’teryx

Monday, March 18th, 2013

20130317-185952.jpg

The guys from Arc’teryx LEAF showed me the new Haku Rope Bag at OR Winter Market. When John Faherty demonstrated it, the Haku certainly lived up to its name, the Hawaiian word for ‘invention.’ Sure, it made for ropes, but once you see the demonstration in this video, you’re going to come up with loads of other uses, including SSE. Just lay it out, the bright yellow color offering excellent contracts from the ground, and throw everything you find onto the bag’s tarp. Then grab the four corners of the tarp, gibe it a shake and everything slides right into the bag. Brilliant! What’s more, there is a simple strap for hasty carry or you can take an extra few seconds and compress the load.
