Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017

Huntsville, AL – Advanced Armament Corp., LLC (“AAC”) is pleased to announce today its new Halcyon modular silencer.

AAC set out on a mission to create a dual silencer solution (2 silencers with 1 stamp) that outperforms the competition. In doing so, our team has raised the bar for rimfire silencers with the new Halcyon modular silencer.

Featuring the same tool-less design as the Ti-Rant 9M & Ti-Rant 45M, the Halcyon can be easily disassembled and/or re-configured as a full-size or compact silencer in seconds. The advanced design of the shielded titanium K-Baffles are keyed for repeatable port alignment and set the standard for tone and accuracy.

The serialized titanium rear tube, FNC stainless steel end caps and anodized 7075-T6 aluminum front tube are all finished in armor black Cerakote. The Halcyon is rated for use on pistols, rifles, and machineguns chambered for 22 LR, handguns chambered for 5.7 x 28mm, and firearms chambered for 22 WMR, 17 HMR, and 17 M2.

NRAAM 2017 – Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch

Monday, May 1st, 2017

The Maritime Bolt Catch was designed to make it easier to use with wet hands or with the palm of your hand. What I really like about it is that I’ve seen many Bolt catches with enlarged upper pads, but rarely do they make the lower pad for locking the bolt to the rear, any larger.

Fits any lower reciever designed to fit Mil-Spec bolt catch. Manufactured from heat treated 8620 steel and manganese phosphate coated.

NRAAM 2017 – XAR Folding Rifle from F&D Defense

Monday, May 1st, 2017

img_1231.jpg

F&D Defense’s XAR Folding Rifle is the most remarkable thing I saw at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting. I’ve seen other folding designs but the invariably feature a folding stock.

IMG_1226

The XAR hinges just in front of the upper receiver. The barrel folds to the side.

IMG_1238

The secret is the taper around the barrel extension which allows it to pivot right into position in the tapered upper receiver. Then, the barrel is locked into place via a latch, similar to many suitcases.

This short video shows you how it works.

F&D Defense will be releasing the XAR Invicta (5.56/AR15 platform) in summer of 2017.

NRAAM 2017 – BAR Floor Lamp

Sunday, April 30th, 2017

If you are looking for the ultimate accessory for your man cave or office, this BAR Floor Lamp I spotted in the Ohio Ordnance booth is just what you need.

These limited edition lamps are just five of a run of 10 and each one is serialized “x of 10.” They are really cool. The Trigger actually functions as the on/off switch and includes working sights/safety/mag release/bipod. The Barrels are 1944 dated and the base is fashioned into the Ohio Ordnance logo. Finally, this piece of art is signature engraved.

Brace yourself. The cost is $6500, but they are manufactured from actual BAR parts and not plastic lookalikes.
