The National Rifle Association’s 2021 Annual Meetings and Exhibits will be held September 3-5, 2021. Originally scheduled for mid-May, the event will remain in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Butler Creek ASAP Electronic Loader Wins NRA Golden Bullseye

Shooting Illustrated Names ASAP Electronic Loader as 2020 Accessory of the Year

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – April 20, 2020 – Butler Creek, maker of smart, field-proven hunting and shooting accessories, is pleased to announce that the company’s ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader was named the 2020 Accessory of the Year by Shooting Illustrated magazine. Butler Creek will be recognized with the NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Award in the May 2020 issue of Shooting Illustrated.

“Shooting an AR-15 is incredibly fun, but in order to shoot them, you first have to load magazines, which is decidedly less fun,” said Ed Friedman, Editor-in-Chief, Shooting Illustrated. “The Butler Creek ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader makes loading AR magazines fast, easy and effortless, leaving you with more mags loaded in far, far less time. That translates into more time to shoot and fingers that don’t hurt. That alone made it an obvious choice for the Golden Bullseye Award for Accessory of the Year.”

The ASAP Electronic Magazine Loader is the only product of its kind on the market. Through its state-of-the-art designs, the ASAP EML allows users the ability to fill the hopper with loose .223/5.56 rounds, select the desired round count and simply press one button to load their magazines. The machine automatically orientates the ammunition and can load a 30-round magazine in 45 seconds.

Made with serious competitors and training facilities in mind, the ASAP EML will work with most AR15/M16 magazines. The loader is standard with a dual power supply via an AC adapter or through lithium-ion batteries. Users can easily load magazines with 1 to 40 rounds through the selection menu, with the ability to set up multiple magazines to coincide with various training drills or firearms platforms.

For more information on the ASAP EML or to view the complete line of Butler Creek products, visit www.butlercreek.com.

2020 NRA Annual Meeting Cancelled

Friday, March 13th, 2020

The 2020 NRA Annual Meeting is cancelled.

We have been closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Tennessee Department of Health.  In fact, earlier today, a state of emergency was declared in Tennessee.

Therefore, we have reluctantly decided to cancel this year’s NRA Annual Meeting, planned for April 16 – 19 in Nashville. This applies to all events and scheduled programs, including the NRA-ILA Forum. We sincerely regret the need for this action, particularly for our many loyal members who join us for this annual celebration of the NRA and our constitutional freedoms.  Details regarding a rescheduled NRA Members’ Meeting will be forthcoming.

Under the direction of NRA President Carolyn Meadows, the NRA Board of Directors is working with the Office of the Secretary in relation to board elections, meetings, and the like.

Please know that we did not reach this decision lightly. We were ultimately guided by our responsibility to help ensure the safety and well-being of our NRA members, guests, and surrounding community.

Please coordinate directly with any hotels, airlines or others who have assisted with your travel arrangements. Most companies have announced plans to accommodate travelers dealing with event cancellations.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

This is the new Leupold Freedom Red Dot Sight. It is being offered in two different models. The first features capped precision ¼-MOA click adjustments, and the second features a precision exposed BDC elevation turret that ships with adjustments out to 500 yards for a standard 55-grain .223 round. The turrets use Leupold’s Custom Dial System. The dot size is 1 MOA and there are eight intensity settings. On a medium setting you’ll get about 1000 hours of use.

But it’s not just for .223 rifles. If you decide to mount your Freedom RDS to a rifle that’s chambered in other popular AR-style calibers like a 6.5 Creedmoor or .300 Blackout, the Leupold Custom Shop can create you a new dial for a fee.

It also integrates Leupold’s Motion Sensor Technology (MST), which turns the illumination off after five minutes of inactivity, when it detects motion again, it instantly turns the illumination back on.

The standard model is $389 with mount and the BDC model is $599 with mount.
