Fat Tire Shoe Coming Fall 15 from Under Armour
Thursday, February 12th, 2015The Fat Tire is a new hiking shoe coming Fall 2015 from Under Armor.
Integrating the Boa closure system, the Fat Tire offers a custom fit at the twist of a dial along with rapid donning and doffing. It also features a GORE-TEX upper with a Cupron infused fabric liner as an antimicrobial. This sits atop a UA Charge mid-sole for cushioning but probably the most striking feature of the Fat Tire is the Michelin sole. The Wild Gripper outsole offers lugs at the bottom as well as up the edge of the sole to improve grip while scrambling up the trail. Coming in numerous colors including UA’s Ridge Reaper camo pattern.

What Was The Deal With Pats Coach Bill Belichick’s Pre Super Bowl Tshirt?
Wednesday, February 4th, 2015Prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was spotted wearing an interesting shirt. The snake on the back, poised to strike, was somewhat reminiscent of Gadsden’s Don’t Tread On Me symbology but it wasn’t all there.
Turns out, that wasn’t half wrong. The image was from the Dynamis Alliance DTOM Tshirt. The image was created by tattoo artist Joey Nobody and former SEAL and Dynamis frontman Dom Raso is a dyed in the wool Patriots fan. That’s where it came from.

Author JL Bourne Launches New Website
Wednesday, February 4th, 2015Featuring info about his upcoming novel, “Tomorrow War” author and military officer JL Bourne has launched an updated website.
Bourne gained fame for his highly successful “Day by Day Armageddon” series of books. This new book will take on a new adventure. While the dystopian setting is similar, the antagonists won’t be the undead. Post collapse America promises to be an interesting ride.
SHOT Show – Yeti Tank

Down in the bowls of the basement at SHOT Show are some of the coolest products on the show floor. On the third day, I ran across a very packed Yeti booth. So packed, that I couldn’t get a photo of anything. These coolers are popular! They’ve got several new items coming but I thought the readers of SSD might appreciate the Tank.
Offered in 45 and 85 sizes, the Ice Blue is currently in stock with white and Desert Tan coming in April. The larger 85 model will accommodate up to 60 longnecks, 96 cans, 1 keg, 51 blue crabs, 24 mullet & menhaden, 98 slices of watermelon, 20 gallons of trash can punch, or 2 bushels of oysters. Yeti also offers insulated lids for transport, storage, keeping everything cooler longer or as a place to plop down around a campfire.
