Leander, TX (01/16/2023) – The Black Collar Arms Desperado system allows the use of a guitar strap as a rifle sling, complete with locking QD attachment. Not only are guitar straps incredibly cool looking and available in thousands of styles and dozens of materials, but they make for some of the most comfortable, best rifle slings going! 

No surprise there, as guitar straps and strap locks are designed to hold heavy, expensive guitars comfortably and securely for hours on end. Some even offer fast, single-handed length adjustment like some of the best tactical rifle slings!

Desperado is available in five versions for mounting a guitar strap quick release locking lug to any firearm model via its:

• QD sling cup
• M-LOK slot
• M1913 Picatinny rail
• Sling swivel stud
• Universal design with a 0.250-inch hole for the use of 550 Paracord (included) or other solution.

Desperado is compatible with standard guitar strap locks (e.g. Schaller, Fender, the ones available on the Desperado product page, etc.) and nearly any guitar strap you so choose. Simply pull up on the guitar strap lock’s spring-loaded pin to attach or detach the lock from the Desperado lug (Schaller locks click right onto Desperado and lock in place without even having to touch the pin). Letting go of the pin locks the strap in place automatically.

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. – (January 13, 2023) Arcane Concerted is excited to announce the much anticipated second release of their LowPro Rail Attachments, now open for preorder.

The LowPro Rail Attachment is a simple, yet elegant, design made to bring multiple functions to market in one small package. On one side, you’ll find a traditional 4-position QD mount compatible with any reputable male QD sling attachment currently available. On the other side, it features an even more functional loop to be used in conjunction with Arcane’s flagship product ArcBands, a reusable retainer band primarily used for cable and sling management. Additional uses for the alternate side of the LowPro Rail attachment include securing sensitive items, as well as playing host to numerous other sling hooks and attachment methods.

“I wanted something with a small footprint that I could still use in conjunction with our ArcBands. I wanted the attachment to be functional and versatile, and the engineer team crushed our goal and even made it look nice. Several revisions and 3-D printed models later, here we are.” said Charlie, owner of Arcane Concerted.

The rail attachments are made using MIM grade 17-4PH stainless steel powder, high temperature sintering, and a heat treatment process resulting in a hardness of >HRC 34. The LowPro Rail Attachments are coated in QPQ (black) and PVD (FDE).

“We noticed a lot of people using zip ties to attach our ArcBands to their rail systems. This caused more wear on a product we developed specifically to take more of a beating and last long enough for our customers to get a lot of value from it. We wanted to make something that could clip on the rifle to prevent losing bands at the range or on duty; which unfortunately wasn’t very economical. We went back to the drawing board to bring something to the table that offered better value and cost to our end users. Now we have a product that can not only handle the initial intention, but offers multiple other functions for end users as well.”

Leander, TX (01/12/2023) – Designed for any rifle that accepts short action AICS footprint magazines, the new Black Box magazine from Black Collar Arms delivers 15 rounds of 223/5.56 or 300 Blackout from a smaller external footprint than our competitors’ 10-round mags.

“Our lead engineer, Tom, really knocked this one out of the park and created a double-stack to single-feed internal geometry that has proven completely reliable since literally our first prototype,” said none of us in real life, but it’s true.

When hunting feral hogs, having fun stretching out the limits of subsonic 300 BLK on steel targets, or putting in practice time on a 223 trainer rifle, that 50 percent bump in capacity means more shooting between reloads.

For added purchase in the field, the Black Box’s flat panels are ready for skateboard style grip tape. Laser-cut grip tape inserts are available for the Black Box in two textures, sand and rubber pebble, and in a few different colors and patterns.

Spring geometry and manufacturing is currently being finalized with one of the top firearm magazine spring companies in the U.S., and Black Box shipping should be well underway by mid-April, 2023.
