Arisaka Defense – Stock Angle Adapter – SL

The Patent Pending Arisaka Stock Angle Adapter is meant to aid alignment and recoil management on semi-auto gas guns like the LMT MWS and KAC SR25 by upgrading the Magpul SL and SL-S stocks for precision use with two important features:

1. Changes the recoil pad angle so it is perpendicular to the bore axis.

2. Adds height and cant adjustments to the recoil pad.

The Stock Angle Adapter is the first installment in a series of precision rifle focused, ergonomic upgrades. The geometry of most popular carbine stocks support a variety of shooting techniques and work well within those requirements. However, if we take a look at any modern, precision focused bolt gun chassis, you will note that all of them feature a 90 degree angle for the recoil pad. This isn’t by accident. This geometry promotes greater contact surface area for one of the critical alignment components of a shooter’s position behind the rifle.

Arisaka took my requirements and went a step further by incorporating a simple and lightweight solution to the critical fitting components of recoil pad height and cant. Different optic mount and shooter requirements have shown in testing there is almost no wrong configuration, but I do have my favorites. The finishing touch that can’t be overlooked is how Arisaka made this accessory to not only work with a few common carbine stocks but also allowed it to accept a popular aftermarket recoil pad. For gas gun precision rifle shooters, this upgrade offers your rifle a lightweight, custom fit solution for your recoil pad with an extra bump up in surface area for your rear support.

Mr. Ulf Nilsson, CEO, says, “This is a project we’re extremely proud of. The Spuhr Ideal Chassis system, or ‘6’ for short, has been the company’s main focus for the past 18 months. The SICSTM was designed around the concepts of modularity, stability, innovation, and quality.”

Integrating the Spuhr InterfaceTM into a chassis system allows the user to position accessories originally designed for the Spuhr Ideal Scope Mount SystemTM (ISMSTM) at various positions on the rifle system, combined with an exchangeable handguard and bag rider, provides unsurpassed modularity.

Machined from aircraft aluminum, with the sole synthetic parts being the rubberized pistol grip, cheek piece, and a Limbsaver® Airtech® recoil pad, the SICSTM offers an extremely rigid shooting platform.

An innovative, and patented, quick-adjustable Length of Pull (LOP) allows the user to instantly adjust the LOP when shifting from one shooting position to another. The SICSTM also features LOP Presets so that the user can tailor his maximum and minimum Length of Pull. Integrated into the standard 16-inch forend is an Arca Swiss® rail for use with bipods and tripods, but even this part of the chassis still accepts Spuhr InterfaceTM accessories.

As always, quality has been a priority, where the SICSTM does not feature any sharp edges while featuring the same high quality black anodizing known from the Spuhr Hunting Series mounts and rings (other colors will be available.)

The first versions released will be for the Remington 700 and Tikka T3/T3x short action footprints, for use with AICS magazines. Pre-orders for the North American market will be accepted starting September 27th.

Sneak Peek – Emissary Development NANO ARC Rail Carrier

This NANO Carrier variant for the ARC Rail was a special request that they decided to bring to everyone. It can be rotated 90° giving you four position options that the MultiTasker NANO is accessible from.

It can be mounted to the Helmet ARC rails found on Ops-Core, Crye Precision and many other ballistic/bump helmets.

Right now they have three NANO Carrier variants in development:

MLOK, Picatinny and ARC Rail.

All three versions are coming along well and they hope to launch them all together.

S.O.TECH Delivers 8000 M320A1 Grenade Launcher Weapon Retention Clamps to USMC

S.O.Tech is proud to have worked with the USMC to develop a solution to the difficult challenge of securely retaining the M320. This is a cumbersome device with scope and stock making it sway and shift on the vest. A stable carriage platform that still offers speed draw and field repairability was needed.

The Solution: SOTECH’s weapon clamp was designed to pull the weapon close to the body with the pistol grip angled inward. The clamp uses a plastic insert to grip the frame of the weapon rather than the trigger guard. The clamp is indented on one side and flat on the other side, allowing the weapon to lay flat on the shooter. Detents on both sides would have angle the weapon outward creating sway. Three MOLLE compatible loops provide a stable attachment that pulls the weapon against the shooter.

Quadruple retention with a plastic lined front strap fastened by a side lock buckle common to all military issue rigs pro-vides easy manipulation and security. Stiffened straps keep them from dangling and catching in the action or in the sight mount. The elastic grip retention is anchored for an easy no-look find and manipulation. Its pistol grip loop is rubber grip lined flat elastic for a better hold on the weapon.

And in case of a failure with the plastic clamp, it can be easily removed and replaced, as can the elastic grip strap which can also be tightened if the elastic wears. M320A1 Grenade Launcher Weapon Retention Clamp is patented and has additional patents pending. Available on GSA and through DLA. Government price is $45.60.
