OSS Technology Corp is a new spinoff company from Operators Suppressor Systems . In addition to the new CHRISTIAN and BANNAR brakes, OSS Technology Corp is also teasing us with their upcoming Mirage Mitigation Device which will redirect the heat dissipating from a suppressor to the side so that it will not obscure the shooter’s view over the sights of the target.

MagPod In Production

Monday, January 6th, 2014

MagPod has been plagued with delay after delay but we are pleased to tell you that they are in production with an estimated delivery of March. They’ve also been issued a US patent.

I’ve been a longtime fan of the MagPod which is an aftermarket floor plate modification for the Magpul M2 magazine. Once installed it transforms your magazine into a very effective monopod. In fact, it works so well that you can use it to stand your carbine on the magazine. Additionally, it offers an excellent grip to grab the mag from its pouch. The MagPod I have is a couple of generations old and changes have been focused on manufacturability rather than function.

GLOCK Gives Us a First Look at the G42

Saturday, January 4th, 2014

“It’s Built Because You Guys Wanted It…”

Every year, right around SHOT Show, GLOCK tempts us with the promise of a single stack 9mm handgun and every year we are disappointed. But Good God! This year, not only did they once again disappoint by offering up the model 42, a .380 pistol, but they also created this video to introduce it to the world. I love my GLOCKS but this is just too much.

CTT-Solutions Mag Cap Enhanced Base Pad

Friday, January 3rd, 2014

Mike Pannone developed the Mag Cap Enhanced Base Pad to help protect magazines. Regardless if civilian, military or LEO, it protects your magazine from dirt and damage without giving up capacity or reliability or materially changing the factory specifications of the magazine. For example, If you live in a ban state where your 30rd magazines are legally grandfathered, you can protect them with the MagCap. Or, if you are in a service that bans the use of all but G.I. magazines, the MagCap is an easy to install accessory that does not alter the magazine.

Benefits:
1. Protects the base of the magazine from damage when dropped
2. Keeps out dirt by covering traditional floor-plate holes
3. Creates an enhanced gripping surface for reloads
4. Gives more stability and keeps floor-plates from “walking” out when resting magazine on hard surface to shoot
5. Keeps magazines from rattling in multiple magazine pouches
6. Does not change capacity or functionality
7. Simple to install
