First Spear Friday Focus – The Other Guy Softshell Jacket
April 15th, 2016This week, we’ll take a look at one of the first clothing items introduced by FirstSpear, the Other Guy Jacket.
The Other Guy Softshell is now available on the Non-Stocking Non-Standard section. It features two zipped chest pockets, a zippered poacher pocket at the rear with zippered openings on either side and zippered upper arm pockets with Velcro fields. This Coyote color is all that is available.
There is limited sizing and an even fewer number of FR versions of this jacket on the FirstSpear site for sale. These are the original production versions, and once they are gone, they are gone. However, FirstSpear has an updated version of the Other Guy in development right now, so it will return!

It’s Spring (sort of), Time To Break Out The Zanfel
April 14th, 2016Spring means that plants are coming back and an increased chance of contact with poison ivy.
We first mentioned Zanfel Poison Ivy Wash from Zanfel Labs during Modern Day Marine 2011 when we found out that it is designed to allow an affected person to literally wash away urushiol oil which is the toxin contained in certain plants. This toxin irritates 85% of the population. The Zanfel wash can be used at anytime after contact and on any part of the body, including the face and genitals. This stuff really works. We’ve used it several times over the past few years and it offers relief within hours. Additionally, it can be used to wash clothing and bedding to help mitigate the effects of the rash.
Zanfel Labs is offering this graphic to help instruct people how to identify the plants that secrete urushoil thereby preventing irritations before they happen. We asked if we could share it and they agreed. Also, don’t forget, poison ivy oils can stay viable for up to 5 years. Clothing, gear and footwear, in particular laces retain these oils. According to Zanfel Lans, the best cure for this issue is to wash these items with simple dishwashing liquid.

Krupto Strategic – UBL Anniversary T-Shirt – Pre-Order

On the right, the DTG of the time the raid was conducted, and SEAL Team Six and the CIA, in recognition of the two parties principally responsible for the raid.
