The Pathfinder is the latest blade available from Skallywag Tactical. The blade profile is CNC milled from CPMS35vn steel, then hand ground and in-house heat treated and tempered. The Gravity Hook is a project currently up on Kickstarter for a hybrid mechanical claw and grappling hook. Stand alone, it functions as a 2-pronged hook. When it impacts a surface, the mechanism opens up, and pulling it back closes the mechanism, making it great for retrieving items. The final design will be made of stainless steel, although hooks made of other materials including titanium are part of the backer rewards.
Here you can see the Gravity Hook pictured with the optional Cross Hook. When installed, the Cross Hook allows the Gravity Hook to function more like a traditional grappling hook, with 4 prongs. The Cross Hook can also function as a standalone gear tie.

In this post, we’re revisiting a knife we featured on the site at roughly the same time last year. The Attleboro is a combat utility knife designed by retired SF Operators, and designed in honor of US Army Special Forces MSG William B Hunt and all military members involved in Operation Attleboro during the Vietnam War.
The Attleboro is a combat utility knife designed by retired SF Operators. Forged from S35V stainless steel, the Attleboro features a cryo-treated, hollow ground blade in a spear point design with an aggressive swedge. Unique slanted serrations on the blade make for better cutting, and 1.5″ of gimping on the spine maximizes grip for optimal control with or without gloves. The handle is skeletonized for weight reduction, overlaid with Black Phenolic canvas laminate material scales. The butt of the knife features a beveled glass breaker and lanyard hole. The Attleboro is finished in H-146 Graphite Black Cerakote.
Included with every knife is an OKUDEN custom made Okydex sheath in either Desert Tan or Black. Every Attleboro also comes with a commemorative MSG William B. Hunt Memorial Chapter coin and certificate.

I’ve been hoping someone would offer a water resistant, reversible Orange to Coyote pack cover and RE Factor Tactical came through. Their Reversible Rain Fly is specifically designed to fit on their ASO Bag as well as other 3-day assult pack sized bags. On top of the Coyote side is one 2 x 3″ and one 2 x 7″ loop platform for a name tape, marking IR patch for location at night or regular patch. On the opposite, high-vis Orange side is one 2 x 3″ loop panel for attachment of an IR patch or beacon light for easy marking. It stays in place via toggles designed for the ASO bag as well as a bungie cord.
There is also an integrated stuff sack for storage. Currently only available in a base color of Coyote. Hopefully, they’ll get some more MultiCam versions in stock. 6.2 ounces.
