The 2010 Blackheart International Calendars are in!

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

One of my favorite annual events is picking up my 2010 Blackheart International calendars at SHOT Show and getting it personalized for one of my sons. Of course, mine goes to my son. At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

BHI's New Calendar

So when you are at SHOT Show this year be sure to stop by booth #20040 and pick up one for a “friend” and an extra one for a friend or relative who couldn’t make it. For those of you who won’t be at SHOT Show this year you can order a copy from www.BHIgear.com.

Tactical Pistol Shooting 2nd Edition

A new, expanded edition of “Tactical Pistol Shooting” was just released. Just like the first edition it is a solid work and is filled time tested pistol handling techniques. Written by special operations veterans Erik Lawrence and Mike Pannone, two guys who know their stuff. Major improvements over the first edition include full color photos and an improved section on shooting while wounded. Speaking with the author on the new photographs he said that working with Mike Pannone and the photographer was a joy. Mike knows all of the drills cold allowing Erik to work with the photographer and see each shot from his perspective. They wrapped up the entire book’s worth of photos in two hours! I still find it amazing that “Tactical Pistol Shooting” contains over 350 color photos in a trade paperback for under $25. It is worth the cover price and is an excellent reference.

Order it at BHIgear.com. You can even include an autograph and message.

Zinc Air Batteries

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Other than the fact that they are lightweight and reliable, the single greatest thing about Zinc Air batteries is that they are not HAZMAT. That alone is worth its weight in gold. Imagine a life with out the trials of dash twos. And now, with the video just released by Blackheart International, we know just how hazardous traditional lithium batteries can be.

Leaders are beginning to seriously discuss the Soldier’s load and engineering tools like SWAP (Size, Weight, and power) analysis used to look at aircraft and vehicles are beginning to be applied to the grunt. When you stack an 8180/U battery up against a 5590/U using those criteria, the Zinc Air technology wins hands down. What’s more, they are safer and as the video demonstrates, will continue to provide power even when damaged by projectiles. The 12/24 Volt 8180/U battery has an NSN and is available from Blackheart International. Additionally, there are numerous adapter cables available to help you use the battery with a variety of communication and electronic devices.

The Canted Foregrip Mount features a 10 degree cant which, when mounted on a fore-end rail equipped AK-47 accommodates the loading and unloading of magazines. This 2nd generation canted grip adapter comes with a Tango Down Vertical Battle Grip but allows the use of any grip that attaches to a Picatinny or Weaver rail.
