Bushnell Launches New Ballistics Calculator App

Sunday, March 11th, 2018

img_6988.jpgOVERLAND PARK, Kansas – March 9, 2018 – Bushnell, an industry leader in high-performance sport optics, announces the release of a new Bushnell Ballistics App powered by the proven and powerful Applied Ballistics Ultralite Engine.

The new Bushnell Ballistics App is a companion app to use with Bushnell riflescopes to calculate firing solutions for ammunition and rifle combinations. The app allows users to use current atmospheric data and AB Laboratory bullet data to calculate the hold-overs needed to make precise shooting solutions.

“The new Bushnell Ballistics App is powered by the Applied Ballistics Ultralite engine, the most trusted ballistics data-cruncher in the industry,” said Bushnell Marketing Manager Matt Rice. “With a clean and user-friendly interface, this app allows users to easily build and modify gun profiles and build range cards to calculate firing solutions based on their specific scope and ammunition choices. All of our Bushnell scopes and reticles have been pre-loaded, giving users simple ballistic solutions anywhere they go.”

The free app works on both Android and iOS operating systems, and is available on Google Play and the App Store. It is optimized for Bushnell riflescopes and reticles, but is compatible with all optics. Once downloaded, the app functions off the grid, with no cell service required.

The app features AB Connect, which gives users a live library of G1/G7 data as well as the Applied Ballistics Bullet Library with more than 740 pre-loaded bullets. The Bushnell scope library features more than 150 scopes and 30 reticle options. Gun profile management provides up to five saved profiles with reticle-based firing solutions. Plus, multiple target engagement saves up to five targets. Atmospheric data can be updated manually or from the internet when connected. Angle range compensation is also calculated. Range cards can be shared or printed using the Email Range Card Function.

“The new Bushnell Ballistic App puts the power of long-range, first-shot accuracy into the hands of any shooter,” Rice said. “Like all of our products, it was designed to perform in any condition and to offer our consumers true value, with features that far exceed the price—which, in this case, is free!”

To download the app, simply go to Google Play or the App Store and search “Bushnell Ballistics” to get started.

Bushnell Introduces Tac Optics, Adds to Popular AR Optics and Elite Tactical Lines

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – January 19, 2018 – Bushnell, the industry leader in high-performance sport optics, will launch more than a dozen new optics at the 2018 SHOT Show, January 23 to 26 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The new Bushnell lineup includes a new Tac Optics line, as well as additions to the popular AR Optics and Elite Tactical riflescopes.

Tac Optics is Bushnell’s newest family of tactical riflescopes and red dots. Tac Optics riflescopes are available in four configurations, with multiple reticle options and 30mm and 1-inch diameter tubes. Tac Optics riflescopes were designed to improve the performance of every shooter, from novice to professional, and can adapt to any environment and application.

The new Tac Optics red dots feature three models. The Mini Cannon gives users four reticle options at the push of a button and delivers industry-leading battery life (more than 30,000 hours). The Lil P(rism) is one of the industry’s smallest prism sights, and the BDC reticle is ideal for carbines. The Big D(ot) is anything but small with a massive 37mm objective and FOV unrivaled in the red dot market. All three optics provide some of the brightest dots available, with market-leading battery life.

“The AR Optics line also gets new scopes and red dots,” said Bryan Parrish, product manager for tactical optics. “We have a new TRS-26 with longer battery life, a brighter, crisper dot and push-button operation. The First Strike 2.0 features longer battery life, a brighter dot and tool-less side compartment battery.”

Bushell’s AR Optics riflescopes are designed specifically for the AR platform. New models are available for nearly every popular AR caliber, including 22 LR, .223/5.56, .308, 300 Blackout and even 6.5 Creedmoor and new .224 Valkyrie. Each scope has a throwdown power change lever with two different heights, making these scopes as customizable as the rifles they share a name with.

In the competition scope game, Bushnell’s Elite Tactical line has built a reputation for extreme performance that goes far beyond the price tag. Bushnell’s DMR line of riflescopes are trusted by military, law enforcement and PRS champions – shooters who know every shot counts. The new DMR II Pro Riflescope combines that performance with ED Prime Glass. The best glass Bushnell offers, ED Prime Glass brings out rich color and the finest details, even (and especially) in low light. The DMR II Pro has all the other great features of its predecessor, and remains the only choice when precision is a requirement.

Bushnell Elite Tactical red dot also gets an upgrade. The CQTS II Red Dot is built with the quality, durability and performance that comes with the name. The Close Quarters Tactical Sight is a 30mm tube red dot and features four reticles, which can be switched with the push of a button. The 30mm tube red dot comes with a battery that can last 50,000 hours.

“Rounding out the Elite Tactical line, we’ve added the new Bushnell SMRS II and SMRS II Pro riflescopes,” said Parrish. “They are enhanced by the new CQ-BDC reticle, which is ideal for short- and mid-range scenarios. The SMRS II is black, with a folding throw lever and exposed turrets. The SMRS II Pro is built to meet the demands of the toughest users. It comes in flat dark earth, and features capped turrets and the fixed ThrowHammer throw lever for instant magnification changes.”

Attendees of the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas can see the new at the Bushnell Booth #14551.

Bushnell Announces AR Optics Laser Sights

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017

AR1001BR_Haste_ForwardGripLaser_LG

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – October 16, 2017 – Bushnell, an industry leader in high-performance optical solutions, announces the addition of three high-end laser sights to its industry-leading line of AR Optics.

Bushnell’s AR Optics line is already the category leader for MSRs. New this year, AR Optics now offers laser lighting systems in the Haste, Chase and Rush. Each model is a purpose-built laser sight with advanced features and high-performance output.

“More and more MSR users are finding the benefits of laser sighting systems impossible to ignore,” said AR Optics line manager Bryan Parrish. “Our engineers worked tirelessly to advance these systems, with innovative designs purpose-built for the rifle platform. With high-output lasers and easy one-button, constant-on operation, the Haste, Chase and Rush outperform the competition and offer users a better way to make the shot.”

Waterproof, ergonomic and ready for every MSR – including AR pistols — the Bushnell AR Optics Haste is the epitome of forward-grip lasers. Available in red or green laser options, the Haste mounts under the bore, and provides a bright, continuous, long-lasting beam with the push of a single button. The waterproof construction ensures it won’t falter in bad weather.

“Keeping the laser in-line with bore is paramount to accuracy,” Parrish said. “And we were able to do that with improved ergonomics. It allows you to better grip the rifle and provide a more stable shooting platform.”

The AR Optics Chase is two sights in one. Push a button for a bright, continuous laser beam available in red or green. Flip-up the post for a physical sight. The Chase mounts over the bore, allowing for a seamless, accurate transition between multiple targets. The back-up sight is ideal for longer shots, and integration saves valuable space on the accessory rail.

“Back-up iron sights are an important part of many shooters’ MSR accessory kit,” Parrish said. “We combined the BUIS with a laser to cut weight and also increase the laser’s accuracy by aligning it with the bore.”

The AR Optics Rush is a hi-rise optics mount with built-in laser sight for close quarter environments. The integrated, offset laser saves space on the rifle. It is available in red or green, and projects a continuous, powerful beam with one push of a button. It replaces standard optics mounts, and is compatible with any optic that can be mounted on a picatinny rail.

“Like the Chase, the Rush combines two essential accessories,” Parrish said. “It takes the optics mount and makes it a dual-purpose accessory. These purpose-built products with industry-leading technology embody the AR Optics line, and they further expand the AR Optics supremacy within this key category of the firearms market.”

Bushnell Announces New Best-In-Class Engage Optics Line at 2017 NRA Show

Friday, April 28th, 2017

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – April 27, 2017 – Bushnell, an industry leader in high-performance optical solutions for more than 65 years, announces a new line of high-quality, performance-driven optics for modern hunters and shooters. The new Engage riflescopes and binoculars represent the latest evolution in Bushnell optics.

“The Engage line is built to outperform all other comparable scopes and binoculars and completely dominate the elements,” said Curtis Smith Global Product Director for Bushnell. “The only sure thing about any environment is that it will change, but Engage optics were built from the inside out to deliver world-class performance every time, in every condition.”

Engage scopes and binoculars boast fully multi-coated glass that captures bright, clear images while preventing glare and actively repelling water, oil, dust and debris. The new
EXO Barrier is the absolute best protective lens coating technology Bushnell has ever developed. Added at the end of the coating process, EXO Barrier molecularly bonds to the lens and fills microscopic pores in the glass. The result is an ultra-slick coating that repels water, oil, fog, dust and debris. Rain, snow, fingerprints and dirt will not stick. Plus, the bonded coating will not fade from the passage of time or normal wear and tear.

Engage riflescopes feature a new look, upgraded features and a brand new Deploy MOA reticle that offers 1-MOA windage and elevation hashmarks. Dialing in these scopes is easier than ever with several configurations featuring Toolless Zero Reset Locking Turrets.

Available in nine configurations from 2-7x36mm up to 6-24x50mm, all Engage riflescopes feature Butler Creek Flip Caps, the new Deploy MOA Reticle and Bushnell’s new Ironclad Warranty. Five models feature a 1-inch tube and low-profile, capped elevation and windage turrets. An additional four models boast rugged 30mm tubes and the new Toolless Zero Reset Locking Turrets.

“Engage scopes offer a full suite of the modern features hunters and shooters are looking for,” said Greg Palkowitsh, Riflescope Product Manager. “The Deploy Reticle and Zero Reset Targets give shooters all the confidence they need for mid- to long-range shots.”

Adding to this best-in-class optic line, Engage also includes premium binoculars. Like the riflescopes, Engage binoculars are backed with the all-weather assurance of Bushnell’s exclusive EXO Barrier that repels dirt, debris, oil and moisture.

With four configurations from 8x42mm to 12x50mm, these stunning binoculars feature fully multi-coated optics to offer maximum brightness and clarity, and a lightweight and rugged chassis. ED Prime Glass ensures razor-sharp images while the PC-3 Phase Coating enhances resolution and contrast.

“The image is bright, clear and sharp thanks to ED Prime Glass and our dielectric phase-coated prisms,” said Steve Smith, Binocular Product Manager. “But these are rugged binoculars, too. The chassis is built to take a beating, and a locking diopter permanently secures the desired focus setting, so you can maintain focus and quickly engage what’s ahead.”

The new line will be unveiled at the 2017 NRA Meetings and Exhibits Show in Atlanta, Georgia, April 27 to 30. All attendees are encouraged to stop by the Bushnell booth (#2542) during the Show to visit their favorite celebrities and learn more about the Engage Optics line and all of the latest products offered by Bushnell.

“No matter which Engage you choose,” Curtis Smith added, “you’ll get best-in-class performance at no risk with the Bushnell’s new Ironclad Warranty. Dollar for dollar these optics will outperform every competitor!”
