New Products from Mayflower

Mayflower Research and Consulting has released several new products. As always, their focus is on no-nonsense, combat-focused equipment. Their designed are based on real-world experience.

Mayflower has been producing both 5.56 and 7.62 hybrid chest rigs for some time but just released them for sale to the general public. They are low profile, light weight, general purpose chest rigs with fixed pouches for magazines and PALS webbing to accommodate a customized load..

The new Assaulter Arm Board features three viewable surfaces; a flap which is viewable on both sides as well as the base. It is perfect for comms checklists, target info, and other aide memoires.

All Mayflower products are Berry compliant and available in Coyote, Ranger Green, Black, UCP, and MultiCam (some products may vary).

Mayflower Releases Quick Detach UW Chest Rig

The production version of the UW Chest Rig, QD is now available. Small runs of the design have been produced and refined over the last couple of years. As the name implies, the rig is intended for use as a general purpose mid-size vest platform to be worn with the detachable H style harness or attached directly to Mayflower’s Low-Profile Armor Carrier. This gives a great deal of flexibility to the user and the detachable H-style harness features loops to route antennas, comms wires, and hydration bladder tubing.

Made in the USA from 500D Cordura, the UW Chest Rig, QD is available in Ranger Green (solution dyed), Coyote Brown (solution dyed), Multicam, UCP, and Black. Please note: Desert Digital is NOT available.

Mayflower E&R Bag

If this bag looks familiar to you it should. Consider it a much needed update to the groundbreaking Diamondback Tactical E&R Bag which itself inspired a whole slew of clones. What makes the Mayflower E&R Bag so special is that both it and the DBT Bag were designed by the same person; Mayflower’s owner. Based on real world experience, the E&R Bag was designed to be used as a grab and go bag in emergency situations or as an everyday tote bag for essential patrol items.

The E&R Bag features a removable shoulder strap, fixed carrying handle, two external general purpose pouches and two external flat pouches designed to discretely carry six M4 or similar sized magazines. The top flap is designed to carry maps or other 8 Â½â€ x 11â€ documents in a clear, zippered enclosure. Internally the E&R Bag is divided into one large and two small compartments with elastic provided to secure chemlites, pens, or other similar size/shaped items.

Mayflower Sneak Peek

Mayflower Research and Consulting will soon be releasing their “Recce Chest Rig” and the “UMP .45 Chest Rig” for open purchase. Heretofore restricted to a select clientele these two vests combine a no-nonsense design based on real-world experience with lightweight materials.

The Recce Chest Rig is extremely versatile. Designed to carry up to six HK-417 magazines (three open and three in the front pouches), it will also accommodate six M4, AK, SR25 type mags (three open and three in the front pouches) or other similar types. The radio pouches were designed to carry an AN/PRC-148 or AN/PRC-152 with a BA-5590 or similar battery attached as the primary power source. The vest will carry two radios or one ambidextrously. It has antenna routing on the shoulders of the H-harness as well as remote antenna routing on the front underside. It is made with a combo of 500D and 1000D materials to accommodate the additional weight of the 7.62 ammo load. To top it off, the vest has small pockets for mini frags, bangs, firing systems, or other items.

Below you can see a HK-417 magazine to give you an idea of the odd shape. The pouches have to be a bit larger than for other magazines so they accommodate a wider range of options.

The UMP 45 Chest Rig is designed to carry 6 UMP 45 mags, single or double radios (AN/PRC-148 or AN/PRC-152) and two pistol mags (single or double stack).

Mayflower Adds Armor to Line

Mayflower Research and Consulting LLC in conjunction with Velocity Systems LLC has just released the first of their new Armor Line. The Low-Vis Assault Armor Carrier comes with Level III-A soft armor and was created by Mayflower to provide the wearer with a high degree of mobility while still providing an acceptable amount of armor coverage. The adjustable cummerbund has integral pockets for 6â€³ x 6â€³ hard armor side plates and is held in place in the front by a wide velcro flap that is wider than a hard plate. The flap also features pull tabs at the corners. The hard plates fit into pockets attached to the outside of the soft armor carrier. While the carrier is not a cutaway design, the shoulder flaps facilitate rapid donning and doffing yet remain secure during wear.

The Level IIIA Soft Armor panels are manufactured by Velocity Systems LLC and are certified to NIJ 2005 Interim Requirements for Bullet-Resistant Armor. They also meet or exceed the USASOC Fragmentation requirements and meet or exceed the DEA test protocol.

Manufactured from 500D Cordura the Low-Vis Assault Armor Carrier is Berry compliant and available in Coyote Brown, Multicam, and UCP.

Get Your Credit Cards Ready – Mayflower Launches Today (Update)

It’s Live. We overwhelmed them when they were trying to test the shopping cart system yesterday with over 24,000 visitors.

I am surprised that Crye’s recent webstore relaunch two weeks ago didn’t jump start the economy, but that combined with Mayflower Research and Consulting, LLC’s Grand Opening should do something positive to those pesky consumer confidence numbers. Mayflower is known for straight forward, lightweight designs. What’s more, they are relatively inexpensive. The only problem has been availability; until now.

So, all of you have been looking at this for the past two months.

And this, plus a lot more, is what you will see once you get inside.

The initial launch will feature the basics. And while the site’s offerings are by no means limited to those few items in the photo, there are always new products in development, so check back often.
