Velocity Systems has just released their BOSS Rugby shirt in MultiCam. Made with DURO Lambda “NTS” Polyester/Spandex fabric, the BOSS Rugby is moisture wicking, anti-microbial, and NIR – Near Infrared, Les Visible. The rugby-style collar keeps a weapon sling off the base of the wearer’s neck, and it features an active cut which is athletic and mobile. The BOSS Rugby also features envelope pockets on each sleeve, although the MultiCam variant does not feature loop on the pockets.

Velocity Systems – SCARAB Light Plate Carrier

The SCARAB Light is a newly released plate carrier from Velocity Systems. According to Velocity Systems, the SCARAB Light was designed to meet unique user needs and solve industry-wide armor carrier issues. It features a color matching Velcro loop Admin Panel on the upper chest, a front kangaroo pouch, and integrated SwiftClip buckles for rapid don/doff of auxiliary chest worn equipment.
The shoulder straps are designed to alleviate common fit issues seen with traditional sewn fixed angle shoulder straps. They are made from ULTRAcomp, with an articulate D-ring which allows them to swivel to sit correctly and comfortably on any user. I’ve used a developmental version of the vest and I can attest to the design. The straps are adjustable for length and have a padded sleeve, which can also be used to route cables.
The SCARAB Light is initially configured for standard front flap opening. It can also be set up by the user for dual or single quarter flap opening. The flaps can be easily and quickly reconfigured if one style of opening works better for a particular mission.
The upper back features color matching Velcro loop for identification. The rear is also equipped to accept Zip-On Back Panels of various configurations.
Currently available in Coyote Brown and Multicam; Black and Ranger Green will soon follow. Made in the USA.

If you own a HSP Disruptive Environments Chest Rig (D3CR), then you want to check out this new line of accessories. The D3CR Expansion System (D3X) was built around end users who needed to quickly adapt to situations where posture could flip between overt/low signature to covert/low visibility.
The System has 3 specific components:
The Double Magazine Wedge provides two additional rifle magazine pouches without significantly impacting the depth of the rig.
The Holster Wedge is an envelope of Velcro covered Cordura panels in which an end user can run a holster, ideally with loop on the exterior of the holster body. Optimized for G-Code OSH holsters, the system will work with most any holster with loop on the exterior of the holster body.
The Multi-Mission Hanger is a drop down pouch with a loop interior suitable for storing med kits, NVGs, breaching equipment and other vital pieces of equipment.
Attaching seamlessly to the hook panel on the back of every D3CR, the components can be used individually or pancaked into a Holster/Hanger or Double Mag/Hanger combo. These components will work on the stand-alone rigs, as well as when clipped into any plate carrier using the Velocity Systems Swift Clip Attachment System, ideally armor carriers made by Velocity Systems and Mayflower Research & Consulting.
