SLEEK Knee and Elbow Protection System from Team Wendy

Monday, November 16th, 2009

I saw these at AUSA and was pretty impressed. They are unlike anything else currently on the market. Team Wendy’s new SLEEK™ Knee and Elbow Pad System (KEPS) have taken the technology developed for the military issue ZAP helmet pads and applied it to your knees and elbows. The low-profile SLEEK™ system has a non-slip, embossed cap with a distinctive flat center designed to provide grip and stability on any surface, wet or dry. In addition to being grippy, cap also has a digital design and embossed size information to help with purchase. The caps are also secured by continuous, durable stitching that prevents debris from lodging between the cap and the pad.

SLEEK KEPS from Team Wendy

Like all Team Wendy KEPS, the SLEEKâ„¢ system is made with resilient, waterproof, shock-resistant foam that quickly recovers to its original thickness after kneeling and impact. The pads are lined with high-friction Grippiumâ„¢ material, which prevents them from slipping down the arm or leg once strapped in place. SLEEKâ„¢ KEPS are available in Coyote Brown, UCP, Woodland Camo, and Black, and come in sizes Small through X-Large.

With Team Wendy’s SLEEK™ KEPS, you can focus on your mission, not your equipment.

Team Wendy will be exhibiting at the Soldier Equipment and Technology Expo and Conference November 17 – 18 near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Be sure to visit booth #731 to learn more about SLEEKâ„¢ KEPS and the entire line of Team Wendy products including the issue ZAP helmet pads. Additional information is also available online at www.TeamWendy.com.

It’s simple. RMJ Tactical does one thing and they do it very well. They make tactical tomahawks for the modern warfighter. They are so good at it that their customer list looks like a veritable who’s who of putting foot to terrorist ass. They are being carried by Special Forces, Naval Special Warfare, Rangers, Marines, Army troops, SWAT, Air Rescue all over the world, wherever the fight takes them.

RMJ Tactical tomahawks are designed to be multi-functional with full tang construction so there is never any head-handle separation. Para USA to Exhibit Tactical Target Rifle

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Para USA will display their Tactical Target Rifle this week at the Soldier Equipment and Technology Expo and Conference in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Para USA TTR

The Para Tactical Target Rifle utilizes their proprietary Delayed Impingement Gas Systemâ„¢ (DIGSâ„¢). The recoil spring is over the op-rod rather than in the butt stock so they can feature a folding stock in the design. This Rapid Deployment Stockâ„¢ (RDSâ„¢) reduces the overall length of the Tactical Target Rifle by almost 10-inches when the stock is folded. The RDSâ„¢ sliding stock has five positions.

Be sure to visit Para USA at booth #128 or on the web at www.para-usa.com.

Grey Group’s Second Anniversary Sale

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Time sure flies when you are having fun and based on my conversations with the staff at Grey Group, it feels just like yesterday that they started the business. Hard to believe, but it’s already been two years.

So based on this auspicious occasion, Grey Group is proud to announce a store wide sale both online and at their Ft. Bragg Pro Shop. Looking at this as an opportunity to give back to the community for all the support it has given them over the past two years, they are offering up to 50% off of everything in stock from Saturday November 14th to Saturday November 21st. That’s right. Everything is on sale, at various discounts up to 50%.

Grey Group has also launched a new homepage to act as their central hub, reflecting the history of their company, and the soul of their organization. It is truly worth the visit at: www.greygrouptraining.com. Another new feature is the launch of The Grey Group Training Community. Grey Group Training has never been about the gear, or the training. It’s ALWAYS been about their boys, about the lifestyle, about getting the job done. It’s about knowing there is work to do, doing it, and then relaxing. From the onset, the store has been about comfort. They offer free beer, plenty of places to sit, and there are always good movies playing and cool books around. They have taken this same concept and brought it to the internet. They want to build a community with their customers and hope you will contribute.

Army Camouflage Photosimulation Study Update

Friday, November 13th, 2009

As part of the Army’s plan to investigate options for a Afghanistan theater-specific camouflage pattern, PEO-Soldier is undertaking a photosimulation study of uniform colors and patterns, along with associated Operational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) such as body armor, helmets, and rucksacks, against a variety of backgrounds common to Afghanistan including foliage, high desert, and mountains. Specific emphasis was placed on ensuring accurate RGB values during data collection which occurred earlier this month. The information obtained during this trip has been transformed into a usable test format which will kick off soon, possibly as early as the week after next at Forts Drum, Bragg, and Campbell. Participants will have had recent combat experience in Afghanistan.

Desert All Over Brush Reenlistment

The photo, taken in Afghanistan, depicts LTC Mike Sloane, Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment, presiding over the reenlistment of a Soldier who took part in the camo study. COL Cole of PEO-Soldier commented that this is probably the first reenlistment in history of a Soldier in the All-Over Desert Brush pattern. Desert All Over Brush was one of the patterns used in the data collection effort and will be evaluated as part of this project.
