A friend of SSD, MOJO Tactical will be attending the Hawaii Historic Arms Assoc. Gun Show, this Saturday & Sunday in Honolulu, Hawaii. If you are in town, head on down. MOJO’s models will be giving autographs and taking photos. Portion of donations will go to Americansnipers.org.
Show will run Sat-Sun 10-6 and 10-5 respectively parking is $5 admission is $6.

Sir David Petraeus, GEN USA (Ret)

The Dutch Minister of Defense has knighted GEN David Petraeus, USA (Ret) at the Hague. There are several Orders of Knighthood in the Netherland, some the responsibility of the Ministry, others solely the purview of the Crown. Though there are no details yet, it is likely GEN Petraeus was Knighted into the Military William Order, the Order of the Netherlands Lion or the Order of Orange Nassau. As the Military William Order (the highest honor the Dutch can give) and Order of Orange Nassau are the two military decorations
it is likely one of these. The motto of the Military William Order is Vor Moed, Beleid en Trouw, or “For Bravery, Leadership and Loyalty”; there are seven levels of the Order of Orange Nassau. Both are open to foreigners. We’ll have to see which one GEN Petraeus earned.

SureFire Sonic Defenders Max

The new EP5 Sonic Defenders Max from SureFire offer “full-block” hearing protection. They utilize a soft, adjustable, hypoallergenic triple-flanged stem to seal the ear canal and block out potentially harmful sounds, providing a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 26dB. I’ve been using SureFire EP3 Sonic Defenders for years and I’m glad to see this new upgrade. They are very low profile and quite comfortable because of the EarLock design that conforms to the ear’s natural shape to “lock” the earplug in place. SureFire claims you can wear them sleeping but I haven’t had to do that yet.
Sonic Defenders aren’t disposable but their service life is only intended to be 3 – 6+ months based on usage and storage. They come with a small storage case and a polymer lanyard.
Available in Small, Medium, and Large in Black, Orange or Clear.
