Pancake of Death

The Pancake of Death from Monkey Edge is based on CSM Gear’s popular Circle. It allows you to sandwich your sheath knife, pistol or other item between the layers, and mount it to your equipment at any angle that suits you. 550 cord works as a backup to make sure everything stays together.

But, what they have done is taken that original Circle PALS Adapter to the next level by adding a removable outer section which attaches via hook and loop material. This section mounts into place and will hold a multitool, or medium folder and also has loops for a pen or chemlight. You can also attach morale patches or ID to the loop field.

It attaches to a platform via PALS and is Made in USA! Currently available in OD and Black.

If you love “gun camera” footage as much as I do then you are going to love The Observation Post. It’s a new website that posts daily firepower videos. You’ll see it all there, armored vehicles, infantry in contact, SOF operations, Gunship footage and UAV feeds.

It is now part of my daily Internet ritual and I recommend you check it out as well. You won’t be disappointed.

Ful or Less? The Citizen Eco-Drive Proximity

Monday, September 3rd, 2012

The new Citizen Eco-Drive Proximity is not only solar powered but it also connects via Bluetooth to your iPhone. The point of the system is that it has small indicators on the face and the second hand swings to one of them to indicate that there is something on your iPhone that needs attention, for example a message or meeting. the advantage is that you can leave your phone in your bag or pocket and still be notified by your phone even when it is silent. What do you think about your devices talking to one another? Could this be applied in other instances as well?

It’s certainly stylish, but is it Useful or Useless? Either way, it’s coming this Fall from www.citizenwatch.com.

Have a Wonderful Labor Day

Monday, September 3rd, 2012

I’d like everyone to enjoy this last day of Summer. But please do it responsibly and be safe. I’d also like you to read a little bit of the history of Labor Day and how it became a National holiday. It’s interesting in that we take it for granted, like so many rights and advantages we enjoy as Americans. It’s important to remember how we got here.

So, Stay Safe and Have Fun! Believe it or not, you can do both.
