This is the Heilige Lanze or Holy Lance which sits in a museum in Austria. Hitler is said to have invaded Austria prior to the beginning of World War II in order to obtain this legendary relic, often referred to as the Spear of Destiny, which he believed would allow him to rule the world. Patton is said to have recaptured the lance and five days later Hitler committed suicide.

MDM – 5.11 Tactical’s HEXGRID

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016

5.11 Tactical is displaying a production version of their HEXGRID plate carrier at Modern Day Marine. We first saw this awhile ago with a preproduction model showing up at SHOT Show.

The proprietary material is cut with PALS Hexagonal holes which accepts pouches not only up and down but on angles as well.

The plates are covered with Cordura bags for protection and held within the HEXGRID carrier.

The carrier itself is a simple affair with optional shoulder strap covers. That’s right, it’s 5.11 Tactical, but that ‘Made in USA’ tag is real.
