One of the worst plate carriers getting around, what is with the bulky shoulder design?

    • Geoff says:

Looks like the QD buckles under there judging by the slight scalloped openings on the fabric the MOLLE straps are attached to.

    • Chris K. says:

Yea so terrible that several large LE dept’s approve it.

      • jbgleason says:

That’s like saying Big Army approved it so it must be great. Seriously, that means squat. Get some field guys saying it is good to go and I will listen.

        • Chris K. says:

Believe what you want, I’ve used this carrier and it’s a solid design. Some may not like the shoulder section buckles but most who try it will see it’s a non-issue for them.

          • elliot says:

Yeah, if the top of your plate is at your clavicle, how the heck are those buckles in the way of anything?

        • AlexC says:

I trust a police dept to make sane fiscal choices more than I trust Big Army.

  2. elliot says:

Which Long Beach? There are three that I know of.

  3. BrettW says:

Did they only buy the front half of the carrier? lol

(this is called sarcasm for those who want to take the internet too serious this morning).

    • Engineer says:

Obviously there’s a back there too, duh bro. It’s clearly manufactured with hyperstealth’s active stealth system.

Sorry, couldn’t resist with your caveat.

  4. It is unfortunate that trolls out there, with many of them never actually operating an LE or MIL environment always seen to want to tear down. The majority of comments are negative. Rather than looking at what you believe is bad, You could look at the good. To answer some questions. It is Long Beach, Ca. The Banshee Plate Carriers are a product line that is not just someone saying it’s good by an approval, it’s actually proven over several years.

Some other good is that a dept is actually outfitting there personnel with protective gear, rather than leaving it to officers to buy it on their own.

This is not he first dept to use this carrier and with that it is also used by military units down range. Say what you will but we sell several thousand of the Banshee’s a year, and all of those customers can’t be wrong.

    • Chris K. says:

Exactly, haters can hate. I used this carrier and it is a solid design, especially for LE community.

    • Lisa N says:

You should have used a photo of your carrier in flat dark earth worn by a tattoo covered bearded male wearing a Suunto Core watch. That way all the airsoft softies that see it will know it is “legit” and ask mum if they can get their allowance early to purchase one. 😉
