Thursday, February 21st, 2013

FirstSpear dominated the armor and load carrying discussion as Dave Kent discussed the various attributes of their Tubes and 6/12 Technologies. For guys who are having trouble wrapping their heads around 6/12, FirstSpear also has the new 6/9 attachment that is also PALS-compatible but is lighter and actually holds pouches closer to the platform than traditional MOLLE.

Diamondback Tactical Introduces Tactical Performance Skin Technology

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

Diamondback Tactical has released two new tactical assault carriers that feature a built-in, patent-pending Tactical Performance Skin, or TPS Technology. The introduction of the D-TAC (Dynamic Tactical Assault Carrier) and the M-TAC (Modular Tactical Assault Carrier) expands Diamondback Tactical’s line of advanced tactical assault carriers. Featuring TPS Technology, the D-TAC and the M-TAC offer operators a multi-functional lining that drastically reduces the overall weight of the carrier and adds ballistic, slash, and fragmentation performance. The combination of TPS Technology with these advanced carriers enhances its strength and durability. Diamondback claims it makes them 10 times stronger than other traditional tactical carriers.

“The release of the D-TAC and M-TAC carriers represents a big leap forward by Diamondback in the advanced tactical marketplace, and push the edge of the envelope of technological innovation in the armor industry,” says Andrew Bair, CEO of Diamondback Tactical. “Diamondback prides itself in leading the tactical armor systems market. Our design engineers continue to make high-performance quality products that many leading operators prefer.”

The DYNAMIC TACTICAL ASSAULT CARRIER (D-TAC) is a lightweight plate carrier featuring TPS Technology. The scalable design of the D-TAC increases operator maneuverability and can easily scale from a low-profile plate carrier to a tactical assault carrier with bicep, groin, throat, collar and lower back protection.

The MODULAR TACTICAL ASSAULT CARRIER (M-TAC) is a full-coverage tactical carrier utilizing advanced materials to increase strength and durability in a lightweight design. Incorporating their proprietary TPS technology, the M-TAC is more than 4lbs lighter than Diamondback’s UTOC (Universal Tactical Outer Carrier). The M-TAC is a top-load concealable cut carrier with expanded soft-armor coverage that both increases operator maneuverability and can easily scale from a low-profile tactical carrier to a full-coverage tactical assault carrier with bicep, groin, throat, collar and lower back protection.
