FirstSpear and NFM Group Partner to Expand Offering and Capabilities

Most readers of SSD are familiar with the American brand FirstSpear. However, unless you’re from Europe, you may not have heard of NFM Group. This partnership is huge for consumers in both regions and ultimately, in the entire, international market place. Norway’s NFM has some great clothing designs that FirstSpear is already leveraging and will continue to introduce to the American market and NFM will now have access to in first paragraph should be FirstSpear’s innovative Tubes, 6/12 and 6/9 technologies.

HELIKON-TEX Adds PenCott to its Camouflage Line-up

Hyde Definition, developers of the PenCott family of camouflage patterns has announced that European tactical clothing brand HELIKON-TEX is adding the GreenZone, Badlands and Snowdrift variants to its line-up.

At the upcoming IWA & Outdoor Classics 2013 trade show in March, HELIKON-TEX will initially debut PenCott versions of their Combat Patrol Uniform followed by their Combat Shirt, Boonie Hat and Combat Cap models.

In the second half of 2013 HELIKON-TEX will also roll-out the PenCott patterns on a new Parka design.

OR – Tilley Goes MultiCam

Tilley fans have been asking for a camouflage model for sometime now and they’ve answered by introducing a MultiCam version of the popular T3 model. Interestingly, they’re using 330D Cordura with a water repellent finish but they’ve retained the signature brass vents and snaps on either side to keep the brim up. Tilley hats also float and feature a secret pocket in the brim.
