Revision Military Eyes New Brand for Outdoor Recreation

New Revision Outdoor brand to offer protective and stylish eyewear for hunting, fishing and more

ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (Nov. 13, 2018) – Revision Military, a world leader in tactical eyewear, armor and protective systems, announced today it has expanded to create a new brand in the outdoor industry, Revision Outdoor.

Four polarized lens tints are available, each treated with the company’s proprietary OcuMax® AF lens coating technology to provide anti-fog, anti-scratch and smudge-resistant performance. In addition, each lens meets military ballistic impact requirements, providing remarkable protection matched with exceptional style. Custom prescription lenses are also available.

The lenses are paired with durable, ultra-light frames that weigh just over an ounce to offer all-day comfort that will last season after season. A choice of three frame colors and three lens options allows users to fully customize each pair for their specific styles, needs and preferences.

Spy Optic SI

Spy Optic is a well known sunglasses brand. Over the years, they’ve had lots of costumers who also happen to be service members, LE, first responders and federal government employees. Spy Optic began to create dedicated styles for these customers.

Recently, they brought on an old friend of mine, Marc Van Buskirk, to create a dedicated website for those same folks. He is the man behind the creation of Oakley SI and GovX, both great websites.

Spy Optic SI features sunglasses for both men and women, goggles, and clothing. Sunglasses are available with ANSI Z87.1 rated protection for on the job, or standard commercial lenses for off duty wear.

Sneak Peek – A7 “ATLAS” Modular Eyepro System

The all new A7 Defense & Aerospace “ATLAS” modular eye protection system has just completed FAT testing and will be released soon.

The Atlas system features:

• A7’s proprietary “Ghost Shield” photochromic technology with lenses available in both photochromic and High Definition (HD) photochromic, and LCD screen compatible and ballistic polarized.
• A lightweight and robust TR-90 frame
• Arms that are designed to maintain the seal around the ears when wearing hearing protection
• A three-way adjustable nose piece that sits higher on the nose for increased stability, comfort, and for a more unobstructed view

Magpul Introduces Eyewear

Today, Magpul introduces an entirely new product category, eyewear. But when you consider their expertise in injection molding and their ever growing clothing line, eyewear looks like the perfect bridge.

Naturally, they’re protective in nature, but Magpul wanted to offer something you’ll want to wear, no matter what you’re doing.

The first three styles are The Terrain, The Explorer, and the Summit. Add to that Black, Gray, and Tortoise Shell frame colors along with a variety lenses that have different polarization, color and mirroring for the various conditions you’ll encounter; whether driving to work, fishing on your favorite stretch of river, or on the shooting range.

Magpul offers full ballistic and safety rating and protection for active use with the Terrain (the larger full performance sport option) and the Summit (the smaller full performance sport option), and pulled it back just a bit with something a little more traditional with the Explorer (still full impact protection, but with less of a frame wrap).

There are currently 27 different options and by August they should all be available for sale.

At the top of the photo is the Blackfin with Grey frame and Silver Mirror lens, while lower frame is the Fantail also in Grey with Green lens.
