Essex Junction, Vermont (October 18, 2018) – Revision—a world leader in both soldier-worn and platform power solutions— has acquired Protonex Technology Corporation, a subsidiary of Ballard Power Systems. Protonex has deployed thousands of portable power solutions globally, and their products align well with Revision’s Nerv Centr® soldier power solutions.

The Revision® Nerv Centr® Power Management Systems are forward-thinking solutions for a wired battlefront, reducing weight burden and eliminating battery life uncertainty. At right is Nerv CentrSharePack™, an advanced lightweight, conformal lithium-ion power pack that integrates power provision and management into one unit. At left is the Nerv CentrSoloPack™, a rugged, high power density lithium-ionbattery offering high power density and state-of-charge display.

We will now be in an even better position to realize our vision of integrated power and data solutions to enhance warfighter survivability and lethality. Revision is a growth company that seeks complementary diversification; we’ve demonstrated this with expansion across every dimension of our business, but also through proactive acquisitions—including our purchase of MSA’s helmet business in 2012 and Panacis power systems in 2014. This is not just an opportunity to grow Revision’s power management capabilities; it’s also an ideal moment to invigorate Protonex’s established product lines.”

The Protonex® SPM-622 Squad Power Manager is a tough and compact device which weighs less than a pound and enables military units to optimize power for multiple electronic devices.

In its history, Protonex has innovated in fuel cell design, invented the modern Intelligent Power Manager, and grown to become a leading provider of advanced power solutions for portable, remote, and mobile applications. Protonex’s commitment to providing solutions that overcome energy gaps for military, scientific, and commercial communities will continue.

For the immediate future, Protonex will operate under the Revision name as a stand-alone entity in Southborough, MA, under the continuing stewardship of David Long, General Manager. Current customer contracts and orders will be fulfilled as planned and Revision will take care to minimize disruption for customers and suppliers. Simultaneously, Revision will pursue business opportunities that leverage Protonex technology and know-how to provide increased capabilities and effectiveness to global warfighters.

Seekins Precision Divorce Statement

Thursday, October 11th, 2018

For Immediate Release (Lewiston, ID)  10.9.2018

After careful and personal reflection as to what is best for their family and company as a whole, Glen and Katie Seekins are formally announcing their separation and divorce.

Though this is a deeply personal matter, in order to deter any rumors or misinformation, they feel it is important for the public and consumers of the Seekins brand to know that things will remain business as usual.

This decision was made privately several months ago and has not in any way affected the day to day operation or production of products.

Glen and Katie have and will continue to run the business as equal partners and all operations will remain status quo.

The Seekins family statement is as follows:

As our followers, friends and family of Seekins Precision, Glen and I feel the need to share a bit of our personal life with you.

We have mutually and lovingly decided it is best to end our marriage.  We continue to be parents first to our two amazing boys, wonderful and supportive friends as we always been and equal business partners in Seekins Precision as a family.

We share this not to elicit opinions but more to minimize rumors, we are both committed to our business and we will continue to run it as the family business as we always have.

Yes, it is a bit unorthodox but we have learned long ago that we have to do what works best for us and not follow in others molds.   It is how we have been successful and will continue to be successful going forward.

Thank you for all your thoughts and support during this transition.

All further information and inquiries regarding this decision or the Seekins Precision brand should be directed through the Leviathan Group at PR@leviathangroupllc.com.

Rosco Manufacturing Becomes Title Sponsor of First Annual “Snipers Unknown” Event

Friday, October 5th, 2018

October 5th, 2018: Rosco Manufacturing; a Rhode Island based manufacturer of quality American made gun barrels is proud to announce that they will be the title sponsor of the first annual “Snipers Unknown” event managed by Fenix Strategies (October 6th-7th at the Clinton House Plantation, S.C.).

The event will be a Long-Range Precision “Blind Stage” competition, a first of its kind. Over 45 two-person shooter teams will be in attendance and ready to outshoot the competition for a chance at attaining the coveted “Snipers UnknownTop Team trophy. Shooter teams will range from Military Snipers, Law Enforcement/ SWAT Snipers, all the way to PRS level competitors.

The shooter teams will not be able to pre-game stages by witnessing previous attempts from other teams. This one caveat changes the landscape of how most Long-Range Precision events (albeit most shooting competitions) operate. Rosco has also teamed up with VLTOR Weapons Systems, Vortex Optics, American Defense Mfg., and CMC Triggers to create two awesome GRAND PRIZE rifles for the Top Team.

“The only advantage that teams will have is their knowledge on the subject matter earned through years of training, experience, and how they communicate. These simple concepts have been under utilized by shooters in multiple disciplines for many years. The hope is to start a fire that will burn for many years to come, and we will be there every step of the way” Gabriel Cabrera (Marketing/ Sales Director for Rosco Mfg).

Sunday, September 30th, 2018

WICHITA, KS – September 25, 2018 – INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand announces the launch of its redesigned website, which features several new interactive tools designed to make sourcing CORDURA® fabrics easier than ever before. A fabric technology explorer allows users to search for CORDURA® fabrics to meet their specific needs, and a mill locator helps identify relevant fabric suppliers and sources for fabric samples.

“One of our biggest goals for the design of the new website was to create a seamless and intuitive user experience that promotes both inspiration and education for our value chain partners and prospective customers about how to integrate head-to-toe CORDURA® fabrics into their offerings.” said Mallory Faust, digital marketing manager at CORDURA® brand. “The development of these tools was heavily influenced by conversations with our customers about what inspires their fabric sourcing decisions.”

In addition to the fabric technology explorer and mill locator, the new site also offers focus pages with technical fabric information curated to help educate designers of military/tactical equipment, workwear, footwear, bags/packs, motorcycle gear, and active/outdoor apparel about relevant CORDURA® fabric options by end-use.
