SEALS Action Gear Announces PenCott Camouflage Product Line
Friday, August 21st, 2015Canadian tactical clothing company SEALS Action Gear is now offering several of their in-house designed products in PenCott GreenZone and BadLands camouflage patterns, such as their Tactical Field Smock.
The 4.4 version of the SEALS Action Gear Tactical Field Smock sports a design based on the classic SAS smock, and made from MilSpec grade 50/50 NyCo ripstop material, which is woven and printed in the USA. The smock has plenty of on-board storage capacity, including:
Additional features include drawstrings at the waist and bottom, a high collar and removable hood, snag-free snap wrist adjustment at the cuff, and a wind flap over the zipper.

The MBS-3 uniform in NyCo Ripstop IRR comes in the following colors and camos: A-TACS AU/FG, MultiCam, and various solid colors. The fire-retardant DEFENDER-M version is available in: Black, MultiCam, and Olive.

The New Zealand Army To Replace The Steyr With A Lewis Machine & Tool AR-15 Style Rifle
Monday, August 17th, 2015According to a Request for Tender available on the New Zealand Ministry of Defence website, The New Zealand Army has chosen to replace the Steyr AUG currently in service with an AR-15 Style rifle manufactured by Lewis Machine & Tool. The US-based manufacturer was one of multiple companies chosen for the Individual Weapon Trial Phase, which was conducted between March 2nd and June 1st of 2015.
After the trials, LMT was selected by the Ministry of Defence as the preferred Tenderer. Pending a Due Dilligence activity by the Ministry, negotiation of a contract package, and New Zealand Government approval, LMT will be awarded a contract to provide the rifles. The exact model of LMT rifle hasn’t been revealed, although according to sources, the rifles are expected to start fielding in 2016-2017.
The New Zealand Army is already well acquainted with Lewis Machine & Tool, having selected and fielded a LMT DMR since 2012. Here is a video released by the NZDF of the LMT DMR in action:

SPECOPS.PL – MCS-1 SPECOPS Training Uniform v.1

SPECOPS.PL has announced the MCS-1 Mundur Cwiczebny SPECOPS or SPECOPS Training Uniform v.1. Manufactured of 50/50 NyCo IRR, the MCS-1 consists of pant, combat shirt, jacket, and lightweight belt. The intent of the uniform is to provide a training garment suitable for close combat training, or for use in short duration, high intensity operations. It is lighter than a full combat uniform, and is designed to be form-fitting, featuring elastic inserts. The knees and elbows of the uniform are reinforced with matching 770dtx Cordura.
The MCS-1 is available in the the standard range of camouflage patterns SPECOPS offers, including MultiCam and A-TACS.
In addition to the MCS-1, SPECOPS.PL is gearing up to release the MBS-3 combat uniform and ULPC-3 ultralight tactical vest. The official release of both proudcts has been delayed due to a delivery to a European client, so for now all we can offer is a couple of teaser images of the uniform.
