Designed due to 10 round magazine capacity restrictions in Canada, the 10/10 combined two 10 round mags which couple together at the base. When attached to one another, the two translucent magazines are about the same length as a 30 round magazine. They can be configured either curved or straight and with rounds pointing the same way or in opposite directions.
Troy Industries’ new 45 Deg Offset Sights have been adopted as a component of the US Army’s M110A1 Compact Semi Auto Sniper System. They have also been adopted by the French Army for use on the HK 416FR.
The front sights are available as M4-style or HK round- style.
Rear Sights are standard round or Diamond aperture.
On CSASS, the Army uses an FDE round rear sight and HK-style round front.
The sights are also available with Tritium. The rear sight has smaller vials so as not to overwhelm the eye.
Billet Machined T6 aluminum construction and hardcoat anodized in Black or FDE. The steel parts are stainless and melonited or black oxide plated, depending on the application.
These are manufactured in their West Springfield, Mass facility.
I sat down with firearms trainer Rob Pincus At IWA to discuss the new Multi Caliber Pistol From FL BRNO which Fire 9mm, 10mm and 7.5 FK. Pincus initially began working with them in 2016 when he was contacted by the company regarding the potential of the 7.5 FK ammunition. In 2017 he was invited to fire the round and pistol in the Czech Republic for the first time.
Up front, Pincus explained, “Let’s clear something up. It’s not a $2000 9mm. It’s a 7.5 gun that shoots 9mm…for training for recreation and competition.”
It’s a single action pistol. You might find that the recoil system is similar to that found on the Hudson, but FK BRNO has it first and it’s patented.
Additional cartridges have been developed in 7.5 FK like the conical projectile seen here.
Using specific magazines made from steel, the pistol will hold 17+1 9mm rounds or 16+1 10 and 7.5 FK.
The Diamond and Ghost Ring sight system is rather interesting, although the slide is plumbed for a red dot sight.
FL BRNO has developed a railed frame. Right now they are determining whether it will be an option, or become the standard frame.
The stock attaches quickly. A Stabilizing Brace is under development for the US market.
Holsters are already available, like this model from Falco.
Here’s a video showing how to convert the pistol from 7.5 FK to 9mm.
Pincus also cleared up concerns over the over the importer, stating that they have partnered with a completely new importer for the US.
Look for the Multi Caliber Pistol from FK BRNO in about two months.
The new FK BRNO PSD pistol launched yesterday At IWA, has got folks talking. Unfortunately, they’re talking about the price, more than the ammo it shoots. The 7.5 FK has folks in the armor business nervous. In fact, Switzerland won’t allow the importation of 7.5 FK because it is considered too powerful. It’s a round worth learning about.
Reload Swiss RS is celebrating this year’s IWA&Outdoor Classics with another world first. At Europe’s biggest hunting and sport shooting show, the Nitrochemie Wimmis AG brand is introducing its new RS76 rifle powder.
Newly developed, the RS76 is a universal powder for assembling rifle ammunition. It is suitable for multiple calibres, including .338 Lapua Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum, .338 Norma Magnum and .300 Norma Magnum. America’s Special Operations Command (US SOCOM) is currently evaluating the latter two, for Nitrochemie an encouraging sign of government interest in the new product.
Ever since its market launch five years ago, Nitrochemie Wimmis AG with its top-notch Reload Swiss RS products has focused on becoming a full-spectrum supplier of propellant powder – from small-calibre pistol applications to large magnum assemblies. RS76 is now the thirteenth powder in the company’s product range.
The RS76 bridges the gap between its established, tried-and-tested RS70 and RS80 powders. As developer Reload Swiss RS Dominik Antenen explains, “the RS80 was ideal for the popular .338 Lapua Magnum with 300-grain projectiles. But when it was used with the equally popular 250-grain projectile, the results were no longer quite so good.” After consulting with Reload Swiss RS importers, the company decided to resolve this issue with help of the newly developed RS76. “The objective was to pass on the good genes of the RS70 and RS80 to the RS76.” In recent years the famous shooting competition in Bisley was won with the RS70, resulting in two European championship titles in the F Class, i.e. the rifle class. The RS80 also enjoys a robust reputation among competition shooters at ranges of 600 metres and over. “With this in mind, we endowed the RS76 with a good pressure and velocity ratio, sensible temperature independence and a de-copperizing additive”, continues Antenen, noting that “it goes almost without saying that we included a muzzle flash suppressor in the package as well as the best-possible stabilizer”.
The first batch of RS76 powder is currently being filled, and will reach the shops in the second quarter of 2019. The new powder is available in the accustomed 1-kg can and 10-kg drum.
IWA&Outdoor Classics takes place 8-11 March 2019 in Nuremburg, Germany. Reload Swiss will be on hand in Hall 7 at Stand 204.
