Viking Tactics Knives – Crusader & Norseman

Viking Tactics is offering two knife styles.

Crusader

Drawing from the Bloodlines of VTAC’s first ever knife design, “The Assault”, the Crusader is nearly 9 inches long and has a cutting surface 3 ½ inches in length. The spine of the blade has a Viking Vine machined into the surface for aesthetics as well as to enhance the gripping surface. This coupled with the blood colored liners and Canvas Micarta make a beautiful knife. The blade is built from 1095 steel and hardened to RC 56-58.

Norseman

Drawing inspiration from a knife made by one of SGM Lamb’s Soldiers who was killed in action in Iraq on 17 June 2005, the Norseman has an overall length of 11.63” and a cutting surface of 5 ½ inches. Made from 1095 steel and hardened to RC 56-58, this blade will cut easily and can be field sharpened. The VTAC Norseman’s spine is decorated with a Viking Vine, and Blood Colored handle liners.

Eagle Scout Knives by Camillus

Offered in 3″ folding blade or 4″ fixed blade versions, Camillus has introduced Eagle Scout commemorative knives.

Camillus has a long history of making Scout knives. These new models were created at the request of Boy Scouts of America’s Mike Gerard (Eagle Scout and former Army Ranger). Unfortunately, although BSA intended these knives to be used every day, they have not released any specs on the materials used, leaving me as an Eagle Scout, to view these as collectibles, kept on a shelf to celebrate an accomplishment.

Sicario – RE Factor Tactical x Toor Knives Collaboration Project

The Sicario is a limited edition collaboration between RE Factor Tactical and Toor Knives.

They based the Sicario on a Persian Fighting Blade which offers the user both slashing and stabbing capabilities. The 4″ blade is long enough to offer the user the ability to reach vital organs while still having a small enough blade to conceal if needed. The knife is hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 60 and is coated in H-series graphite black Cerakote. The handle is black textured dymalux giving the user ideal grip regardless of the circumstances.

All knives come with a durable kydex sheath with a 5 lbs draw retention.

Each knife also features an individual serial number that will be given to customers based on the order in which the knife is purchased.

Blade Show West 18 – Doublestar Fury Crashete

Designed by Rob Cabrera of Filo Bladeworks, you can definitely see the Kali influence on the Fury. The fury boasts a 10″ blade made from .285” thick S7 Tool Steel, although the full tang extends to 18.25″ in length. The blade is also cerakoted in Midnight Bronze. The handle is G10 and it comes with a Boltaron sheath. Made in the USA!

Blade Show West 18 – SIG SAUER Knives by Hogue Knives

There was a time when the only way to get a SIG knife by Hogue Knives was to be a member of the SIG Legion. But now, there is a line of different designs available to everyone.

The knives are all made in the USA from US sourced materials. The blades are 154 CM or CPM154 stain resistant steel that is cryogenically heat treated to a Rockwell of 57-59. They include fixed, folding and automatic options.

Blade Show West 18 – Williams Blade Design

Williams Blade Design is run by James Williams and sons. James is a former Army officer with iver 50 years of experience in the martial arts, having developed The System of Strategy. For over 20 years he has been creating blade designs for himself and others. While they are made in relatively small batches, they are highly sought after as working blades.

Seen here are several of his designs. The HZT 002 features a 6.5″ Blade made from 80CrV2 by Daniel Winkler.
