Gorilla Range Bag from S.O.Tech

New from S.O.Tech is the Gorilla Range Bag System. I got a sneak peek at this thing at SHOT Show and I really like it. For one thing, it’s a sling bag design making it easier to tote around. The GRB is a 3 part system which is comprised of a range bag, 2 pistol cases, and a cleaning case. Each item was designed from the ground up to function seamlessly with one another.

The main bag itself has pockets that are designed to carry:
-various sized paper targets
-staple gun
-elastic loops for markers
-ammo boxes
-2 pistol cases (included)
-cleaning case (included)
-extra big front pocket for extra pairs of hearing protection (friends or family range days)
-extra big front pocket for extra pairs of eye protection (friends or family range days)
-first aid kit

Additionally, there are pistol bags as well as a cleaning kit bag.

Mayflower UW GEN V Chest Rig Official Release May 12th

The UW GEN V Chest Rig from Mayflower we unveiled last week will be available for order on their website beginning 12 May.

It’s a split front design with plenty of carrying capacity for the items you need including 2 radio/GP pockets.

The mag pouches are fully adaptable to a variety of loads thanks to a family of adapters.

Offered in 500D Cordura in the following colors: Coyote Brown, Black, Ranger Green, MultiCam, A-TACS AU and Desert Digital. It is also offered in 1000D Cordura in Kryptek Highlander, Kryptek Mandrake and Kryptek Yeti.

Brannon uses 5 RTI wheels on his belt which allow him to quickly reconfigure his load based on the task.

Introducing the UW GEN V Split-Front Chest Rig from Mayflower

This week’s Mayflower Range Days presented in concert with Velocity Systems and Grey Group Training marks the release of the new UW GEN V Split-Front Chest Rig.

One of the first things you will notice about the UW GEN V Split-Front Chest Rig is its versatility. Through a series of interchangeable inserts it is capable of carrying 5.56, 7.62×51, 7.62×39, MP7 or 9mm magazines.

The chest rig features two radio/general purpose pouches that will accommodate several types of radios including (but not limited to) PRC-148, PRC-152, Motorola 5000 and several types of mini SAT antennas and Blue Force Trackers. The pouch will also fit a purpose built medical insert (IFAK). The front of the magazine pouches also feature three general-purpose pouches and one pistol magazine/GP pouch. The chest rig body features a center zipper closure and an additional strap closure for use over “puffy” winter clothing or for ventilation in hot weather environments. All buckles are ITW-Nexus and these are made in the USA of US materials.

The UW GEN V Split Front Chest Rig is sold as a kit including: 5.56, 7.62×51, 7.62×39 inserts and one pocket top.

At today’s range day with Velocity Systems, Mayflower Research and Consulting and Grey Group Training I got a chance to check out some production samples of pouches with Blue Force Gear‘s Helium Whisper backers.

American Shooters Edge Range Bag

The overall size of the waterproof ASE Range Bag is 24″x15″x11″. The main compartment is 19″x8″x10″ and features 2 weapon pockets that are designed for the largest handguns on the market. The main compartment has 2 Velcro strips with 2 adjustable dividers while inside the lid are 18″ elastic loops for tools and parts.

The large front pocket has plenty of storage. Measuring 17″x8-½” and has 8 elastic loops for magazines with the ability to hold single or double stacked mags. There are also two loops on the inside of this pocket to hold brushes for cleaning magazines. The inside storage pocket is perfect for extra magazine springs, followers or other parts.

The Left Pocket is 8″x8″x3″. The outside of the pocket has a card holder and the inside has a large pocket for score sheets, rule book, and or match book. This pocket can also accommodate a timer and/or water bottle.

The Right Pocket is 8″x8″x3″ with 6 organized pockets to hold a cell phone, wallet, flashlight, pen/pencils, or calculator. Additionally, there are two 8″x8″x3″ pockets for tools or spare parts located on the bag. One pocket has 10 elastic loops to secure tools, push rod, punch, drift rod, screwdriver, or hammer. The Second Pocket has 5 elastic loops and one 4″x7″ pocket to secure a rule book, score sheets or calculator.
